To give everyone an update; my home and car insurance adjusters will be here monday. until then there's really nothing i can do. red cross doesn't have anything available, fema is actively lying on social media that georgia can apply for disaster relief but I've spoken to two different representatives and they both said no we can't, same with their web site. locally there's nothing, nashville just was not prepared at all and devastated everyone. even our hospital is still without power. there's no where to go but while the house is fucking hot, the bedrooms are safe and can be slept in. there's water, the cats have plenty of food, their boxes are still clean. they're fine.

yesterday geoffrey and i with the power of autism and rage after photographing everything picked apart the carport by hand and a lame shovel. at least phones can be charged now. i have a stupid sunburn on my face and neck.

as for me, i'm being hosted by a friend until tuesday where i'm then going to catch a plane and live with @unhingedselfships for a while. i can be more help to my mom and brother if i'm just not here. and my only skill that i can use to make some kind of money, drawing, requires electricity. so that's where i'm at.

until then, i made my mom a cashapp, if anyone could send a little bit here and there so she can have my brother walk to a store to get food for themselves until something comes through relief wise, it would mean everything to me.

Donate to Support a Resilient Family Seeking a New Home, organized by Adam Ross
gofundme.com
My name is Adam. I'm not the best at this; I never thought I'd have to do this… Adam Ross needs your support for Support a Resilient Family

Hey guys I could really use your help. My friend Kirsten and her husband Adam, who I’ve known for almost a decade are currently homeless because of hurricane helene.

The storm brought in over 3ft of water plus sewage which destroyed almost everything in their home. Their landlord also told them to move out, so now her and husband have no where to go.

Kirsten and her husband are great people who don’t deserve to be homeless. Especially because Kirsten has a lot of health issues. These health issues are so severe to where being homeless could kill her.

With every proof of a donation, I will make you a silly video of your favorite character. Just send me the screenshot of the email and your favorite character and I will get to work.

Any donations and/or shares are greatly appreciated.

my personal shoutout: beloved asheville, an org out of Asheville, CA that helps build homes for the unhoused, and is currently helping people in the community with the hurricane! insta

Hey friends!

You know I love weather. I do. But Helene hit my town and there's no power (predicted to be out 5-7 days) as the substation is underwater. There's no water either, contaminated and damaged by the storm. A tree fell on my house but luckily didn't break through.

I have signal to post this because i drove 30 minutes east to another town but I am going to run out of cash buying water for the 3 adults and 3 dogs to drink, flush the toilet and maybe wash our hands. Non-perishable food as well.

I know a lot is going on in the world right now, so do not feel obligated but if you could send me anything on c*shapp or p*ypal that would be a dream. I'm not sure if my workplace survived so a paycheck isn't even guaranteed.

C*shapp is $thanksjupiter

P*ypal is @chaosmirai

Thanks for reading!

due to hurricane helene, western north carolina has experienced record flooding from a near-failure of an essential dam. this has devastated local real estate and wildlife, completely destroying many homes and businesses. experts are saying had the dam collapsed, this storm could have been as disastrous as hurricane katrina.

western NC makes up southern appalachia and is comprised of mountain towns. these are largely under-serviced areas in need of more funding. their infrastructure was not prepared for a storm of this severity.

i’m mentioning this here because we are all huge fans of a the hunger games series that takes place in this area, and these people really need help. even the location where district 12 was filmed for the movies is in asheville, NC, which is currently without phone service and in great need of funding for repairs and supplies.

more than these areas have been affected. i found a few resources with verified donation links for victims of hurricane helene. please feel free to add more as you see them. this storm has already had devastating consequences, and there will likely be more to come.

Western NC Is Not Okay

Cell service, phone lines, roads, and other infrastructure have all been damaged or destroyed, especially way up in the highest elevations.

Loved ones who live here may or may not be able to send or receive messages.

Many places out here are unrecognizable from what they looked like just a few days ago.

Most families are without power, and panic buying of food and fuel have already started.

Many restaurants and grocery stores are either running out of food, are without power themselves, or have been damaged too much to function.

Many are fleeing east to Gastonia, Charlotte, and further toward the coast, where power is more stable and food is at least a bit more reachable.

Out where I am, about an hour west of Gastonia, I was lucky to find a friend with power so I can use my CPAP and charge my phone. Lots of people like me are relying on cell phones as their sole source of communication, but with cell towers messed up and hilly terrain, even that is spotty at best.

I am doing better than most. My house is undamaged as of now, our cars work, and I am in a safe shelter with power, but even so, I am still worried about being able to access food and gas once our small supplies are gone. We're currently limiting driving to emergency measures only, but here in the south, public transit is simply not a thing...the closest train station, for instance, is an hour away in Gastonia. Biking is also not safe with all the downed trees and power lines, plus just the sheer distance between places and the lack of bike lanes and sidewalks in general.

As car and gas dependent as we all are, not being able to buy gas anywhere reasonably close is a huge problem. I sure hope deliveries of gas can be made to this area soon, because that makes finding food much easier. I don't have any problem driving the 50-60 miles to Charlotte to find food, but it will become an issue if I sit in heavy traffic and lose my little supply of fuel that way.

Honestly I know I personally underprepared for this storm, but I also had no idea how bad our infrastructure is without power and gas. Everything's electronic and now stores have had to go back to cash only...which meant we drove 2 hours around yesterday trying to find a working ATM and/or a store that took cards. At least people are being fairly gracious in stores so far, but desperation can quickly change that.

So, yeah...WNC is not okay, and because of the conditions, a lot of people can't even get the word out. I'm one of the lucky ones with a working cell signal and relative peace to be able to communicate, and I have the hope of being able to go home to an undamaged home within days. (I don't know yet how vain that hope is....both weather flood warnings and power outage advisories keep being pushed back.)

In any case, travel to or through WNC in the next few days/weeks/months is basically a no-go, especially for places like Asheville and Boone. Down the mountain where we are, things are a bit better here, but it's still a developing situation. Hoping for the best. 💞💔💞

This isn’t going to be like my usual posts, but I feel the need to say this.

I myself am in Western North Carolina, we are a huddled collection of small towns outside of Asheville and Boone and we aren’t getting the news coverage necessary to help us. We depend heavily on local farms that have had pastures and livestock wash away, elderly people have had trees fall on their houses and many can’t get their medical machines to work due to no power. We are flooded, blocked in by fallen trees, and desperate for help.

The state has focused heavily on the bigger cities, but last night the lake Lure dam almost failed and the Hickory people nearby had to evacuate with nowhere to go and little notice. For those who live in this area, we have more rain expected to come, prepare accordingly. For those outside of here, please donate to the Red Cross and Storm shelters to help our people.

North Carolina is in a state of emergency, hundreds of thousands are without power and without food, an entire town in Asheville has been flooded off the map, Boone is under water. Do what you can.

if you see my mutual aid posts pertaining to hurricane helene, please, and i mean PLEASE help them in any way you can. even as simple as sharing or reblogging them is helping them a bunch. people couldn't eat stuff because their fridges are turned off and some people's houses were destroyed.

Please, and I Mean Please help them in any way you can.

dear everyone, i'm sorry for spamming your dash with posts about hurricane helene. one of my friends is severely affected and talked about how their part of a state is greatly affected yet not reported as much. so i'm doing my part in raising the awareness of it.

several towns were devastated, building structures fell off, flooding everywhere, water and electricity outages...

i hope you don't mind me sharing posts about them.

the town of Chimney Rock, North Carolina was completely destroyed by Hurricane Helene. by that i mean the entire town is gone. there used to be buildings and roads there and now it's just a giant pile of wood and debris. here are the before and after images.

the scenes coming out of Asheville are also horrific. some of the stories are straight out of my nightmares. these are inland cities being wiped out, not some coastal resort towns.

Footage of the flooding from Hurricane Helene in Greenville, South Carolina. I’m not seeing anyone talk about the damage in the South except on TikTok. I just want people to be aware of what we’re currently dealing with. In South Carolina alone there have been over a million outages recorded.

A stylized 3D model of Sasha from the show Amphibia. She is holding her sword and is taking on an offensive stance with a fierce expression, as if ready to fight. She is presented in a full-body shot. She is surrounded by glowing orbs. The background is a solid red and features a set of brighter stripes.

Sasha from Amphibia to complete the calamity trio! ⚔️

I rendered this in both Cycles and Eevee just to do some testing but surprisingly it ended up looking better in Eevee, so I left it that way. The turntable made the sword look EXTRA ✨sparkly✨ thanks to some compositing nodes.

Wanted To Practice Anatomy From A Reference, So I Used An Oc Of Mine As A Dummy, Along With This Pose

Wanted to practice anatomy from a reference, so i used an oc of mine as a dummy, along with this pose from @adorkastock ! They're probably at like, a cookout, or campsite, or something- idk.

Slowly but surely, I am getting better at drawing humans..

(Btw I highly recommend adorkastock for finding good references, the entire gallery on both DA and the website are just such good resources!)
