This Is In Effort To Reach Out To My Fellow Half-Mongolians. I May Not Be Half-African, But This Is Nonetheless

Black, Beautiful & Mongolian - The Black Expat - Black Identity + International Living
Mishell Hernandez speaks with Inolda Gansukh about her childhood experiences of both being black and Mongolian.

This is in effort to reach out to my fellow half-Mongolians. I may not be half-African, but this is nonetheless touching to find an Afro-Mongolian reaching out on multiple accounts, especially looking back on my experiences with an African exchange student not more than 2 years ago in university back home. She’s half-Nigerian & half-Kenyan (through the mother & father respectively), & has a couple of siblings back in her home in Lagos, & yes I’ve dated her a couple of times before. She was quite pleasant to be around, & this article ties to the experience in what it is to be African in my homelands through Inolda’s narrative. Even though our Mongolian parents were from the opposite kinds, I hence got off relatively better since it was from my bone. If you look back at one of my blog posts from a while ago, it also has my experience of what it is to be a hafu, so please read that too. I’d like to tell you more about her when the chance comes. Happy 150th post here, apunno paye yan.

Cupyakkay wa Cupu Casinkar katomap pinumma okay. Naa ponumma arki nankor.

(Sunburst & Flash Sentry are cute stallions. I suppose more ponies will come.) It’s been a while since I posted anything involving ponies, & I should do more of them. This especially should be if the ponies have something cultural from any of us & we should promote world awareness through these & other media.

Huskotoy pone huyetok pirka hum, wa huskotoy kur huyetok-rekte son pirka ruwe ne.

(Ancient bone flute sounds good, and ancient people played the flute well). Let’s look into more music through the millennia, for better understanding of cultural evolution.

Hear The Oldest Flute In The World

In 2008, archaeologists discovered fragments of flutes carved from vulture and mammoth bones at a Stone Age cave site in southern Germany called Hohle Fels. They were carved and played by Homo sapiens. These flutes are ancient, dating back 42,000 to 43,000 years, making them the oldest flutes in the world.

The oldest Homo sapiens flutes, that is. There is at least one flute made by a Neanderthal that is older. Found at a Neanderthal campsite at Divje Babe in northwestern Slovenia, the Neanderthal flute is estimated to be over 43,000 years old and perhaps as much as 80,000 years old.

The video above features Ljuben Dimkaroski, who plays trumpet for the Ljubljana Opera Orchestra, and who helped archaeologists figure out how to play the prehistoric flute. Don’t worry! He is playing a clay replica, not the original.

Combine this man’s efforts with some sunflower fields & you’ll have some quicker cleanup on the way. Either way, the fallout can be a golden opportunity to work more on use of the medical field, like in the concentrated plasma for treatment.

The Radioactive Man Who Returned To Fukushima To Feed The Animals That Everyone Else Left Behind

Naoto Matsumura is the only human brave enough to live in Fukushima’s 12.5-mile exclusion zone

image

He fled at first but returned to take care of the animals that were left behind

image

He returned for his own animals at first, but realized that so many more needed his help, too

image

Matsumura, who is 55 years old, knows that the radiation is harmful, but he “refuses to worry about it”

image

“They also told me that I wouldn’t get sick for 30 or 40 years. I’ll most likely be dead by then anyway, so I couldn’t care less”

image

Matsumura discovered that thousands of cows had died locked in barns

image
image

He also freed many animals that had been left chained up by their owners

image

Many of them now rely on him for food

image

The government has forbidden him from staying, but that doesn’t stop him either

image

He started in 2011 and is still going strong 4 years later

image

He relies solely on donations from supporters to work with and feed the animals

image

His supporters are calling him the ‘guardian of Fukushima’s animals’

image

The man clearly has a sense of humor as well

As an aspiring medical doctor, I give my support to help you & his sister’s family even if I don’t have enough Yen to help out at the moment. I would be happy to help treat these cases, especially if these patients & the epileptics turn out to have malignant tumors among others.

Hey you guys! I saw an old hs friend post this on fb and if y’all could boost and donate I’m sure it would be appreciated! I’ve see. Her struggle since his premature birth and she needs help!

Tan pokambi orooitak yan. Umma wa seta sonno raka-an okay, korkay ney imenoka tuy osinnu ari monrayke ne.

(Read this blog, please. Horses and dogs are truly useful, but that video inside is safe for work.) These links inside are handy, even if one of them is a dead end.

I'm not sure if you can reply to a reply in a post so if you weren't notified, thanks for the advice! I'll certainly use that

EDIT: This was meant to be a private reply, but I’m gonna leave it here. It was in response to comments on this post.

Here we go, found it! A racing horse was the subject of the very first recorded video ever! There was curiosity (and arguments) about how exactly their legs move during gallops, which is different from canters and other forms of walking & running they do, so actually being able to see it in motion settled the debate.

Horses are fairly unique in their relationship to humans, being a major part of civilization in a manner not unlike that of dogs, so it’s honestly very surprising we don’t have more media where they are important to the story. Like dogs, they’re very good at communicating with (and understanding) the body language of humans; the pack social structure of most canines is simply a closer match to our own hierarchy compared to a herd’s.

I’ve actually been a “brony” since I was a child in the 80′s, because I watched the ever-loving heck outta the original fantasy-based MLP content, so I was giddy with glee when they managed to bring Tirek back for Season 4′s finale. But the new series has also compelled me into doing research on the actual animals themselves and there’s so much to learn. It’s even more amazing when you realize that the writers and animators alike on the show picked up that same knowledge themselves!

Like, did you know a horse’s lips are considered prehensile? Yes, really. They CAN not only pick things up, they can easily move them around and manipulate them with just their mouth, and the tongue can help even more. A horse could totally write with a pen or pencil in their mouth, as Applebloom and some other characters do, if they had the intelligence to do it. That wasn’t just something “cute” by the writers to avoid using hooves. And speaking of which:

http://asklittlepip.tumblr.com/post/46027429033/how-exactly-do-you-guys-type-your-hooves-are-like

(the above post has links to three other seperate posts of mine with some other facts and discussion about horses and how ponies in MLP actually could manipulate objects with their hooves; they don’t work the way most people think they do!)

Hope this info helps!
