Just because I'm an adult, it doesn't mean I want that shoved in my face ALL THE TIME. Especially with an account like THIS

got any gwevin headcanons?

here ya go!! sorry if i have less of these my gwevin thoughts are borderline incomprehensible if youre not down w the liz lore.... most of my gwevin shit is so far divorced from canon theyre completely different lawl
-when gwen moves away to go to college kevin comes over to her house w toiletpaper and lightbulbs bc you never remember those when youre first moving out
-gwen actually distrusted kevin heavily when they first met because of their prior meeting but was civil and friendly because she'd been burned before by being outright rude to people she distrusted. this in turn made him obsessed with her bc people are nice to him so rarely
-kevin actually wears more makeup than gwen (whos more of a tinted lip balm and moisturizer type girl) so he does her makeup for special events
-kevin and gwen don't actually ever get married in the series (this is actually canon) and i think its bc even though kevin has a longer lifespan than someone like ben, he'll still die long before gwen does, and shes scared of leaving someone she loves behind. both kevin and gwen r very against the 'saintity of marrige' as well bc of their families so they just stay unmarried for the rest of their lives. they get ben to be a surrogate for devlin though :))
-kevin is very empathetic but not very good at social cues, so he often does things that he feels will help/ empathize with people but doesnt understand the signals they're putting out, if that makes sense, so he'll often try to be affectionate with gwen when she's mad at him and it will just make things worse. gwen knows he's trying to be loving but her inherently judgemental nature makes her go through this endless cycle of confronting bad assumtions about him and trying to knock them down for the sake of the relationship. kevin sees this and appreciates that shes trying, but still feels like hes not worthy of her effort. theyll get through it dont worry
-gwen is a fucking HORRIBLE driver, and has crashed cars multiple times including kevins, but he forgives her no matter what bc she just makes big eyes at him and he forgets that he was mad at her
-gwen grabs kevin's padlock to yank him down to talk to her. 99% of the time this cuts off the air in his windpipe but he gives zero shits because he gets to look at her face to face
there you go!! again, this stuff is purely brain speculation lol. i hate the heteronormative fixer upper type trope so much but theyre so cute i cant resit it, so i make up shit in my head lawl. gwevin is only good when gwen is the boyfriend and kevin is the girlfriend methinks. thanks for the ask!!

alien force!
Thinkin bout how Kevin bought his mom a house when he was still a teenager, risked his life and the Tennysonsâ trust to get them a message from their missing grandfather, changed his entire moral code and tried to be a better person for the pretty girl he liked and how heâs a fan of The Princess Bride
He is Pure
He is Baby
We do not deserve him
@secretglitterbluebird I doubt that he did the necklace himself. When he handed her the gift, he was still mutated and beforehand, he wasn't able to morph/liquefy the materials he'd absorb. I assume that he bought it from a jewerly store though since I believe that it's made out of gold too. It indirectly shows how much respect he has for her
(It would have been interesting if he would have handed her a necklace made out of taedenite though, to be a call back to Kevin's big score or his mutated form. Unlike the gold one, that one really would have been made from him / represent his gratitude towards her in a different light. It would have implied him carving the gem into a shape similar to an oval/circle/sphere/whatever it could have been. It would have been a fun metaphor to have the taedenite exterior which covers the interior/image of human!Kevin.
Oh no I'm mumbling over my AU's ideas oops)
Getting back to the topic
With the canon's locket, he may have inserted that picture in himself lol, it'd be cute to imagine him struggling to get it in there but he does it anyways because he treasures Gwen smđ
Also, Gwen's gift is meaningful as well because it implies as well - well, effort !! She may have had to carve some of them herself / get someone to help her out with making them

gift

Romanian traditional costumes
Romanian dress refers to the traditional clothing worn by Romanians, who live primarily in Romania and Moldova, with smaller communities in Ukraine and Serbia. Today, a strong majority of Romanians wear Western-style dress on most occasions, and the garments described here largely fell out of use during the 20th century. However, they can still be seen in more remote areas, on special occasions, and at ethnographic and folk events. Each historical region has its own specific variety of costume.
Romanian traditional clothing can be classified according to seven traditional regions. These can be further subdivided by ethnographic zones, which may range between 40 and 120, depending on the criteria used:
Transilvania|Transilvania-Ardeal
The western plains: Câmpia MureČului Inferior ; Câmpia CriČurilor (CriČul Negru, CriČul Alb, CriČul Repede); Câmpia SomeČului inferior (Čara OaČului)
Banat, including Lunca TimiČului and CaraČ-Severin.
Valahia, including Oltenia Či Muntenia.
The lower Danube, including BÄrÄgan, Dobrogea and southern Moldova.
Moldova, including Basarabia, Bucovina and Transnistria.
Balcans or Romanians of the Balcanic peninsula, which can be further subdivided into four areas
The Daco-Romanians along the borders: Cadrilater (Bulgaria),Timoc (north-western Bulgaria and eastern Serbia), Voivodina/Serbian Banat and in Ukraine (especially around CernÄuČi and Odesa)
Istroromanians in Istria, Croatia
Macedoromanians (or âaromaniansâ) in Albania, Bulgaria, Greece, Macedonia.
Meglenoromanians in Greece and Macedonia.
The structure of Romanian traditional clothing has remained unchanged throughout history and can be traced back to the earliest times. The basic garment for both men and women is a shirt or chemise (ie). This was tied round the waist using a fabric belt, narrow for women and wider for men. The cut of this basic chemise is similar for men and women. In the past those worn by women usually reached to the ankles while menâs shirts were shorter and worn over trousers or leggings made from strips of fabric. Women always wear an apron over the chemise (fotÄ). This was initially a single piece of cloth wrapped round the lower part of their bodies and secured by a belt at the waist, as is still seen in the east and south east of Romania. In Transylvania and the south west of Romania this became two separate aprons, one worn at the back and one at the front.
Menâs traditional clothing throughout Romania comprises a white shirt (cÄmasÄ), white trousers, hat, belt, waistcoat and or overcoat. Local differences are indicated by shirt length, type of embroidery, trouser cut, hat shape, or waistcoat decoration. In most areas shirts are worn outside trousers, which is the older style. This is a basic Balkan manâs costume largely uninfluenced by fashions from west or east. Hungarian and Saxon men living in Romania wear trousers with a more modern cut often made of dark material rather than white. This reflects their closer ties, and more frequent communication, with the west.
