btw, just putting it out there that my hope for the Helluva Boss endgame is Stolas abdicating his Royal title and privileges and going to live with Blitzø and working for IMP as their accountant.

Clearly, they have a lot of paperwork that they currently push onto one of their assassins (Full Moon) and Stolas has been established as a nerd who loves reading loads of boring paperwork (Oops).

It would also tie in nicely with the conversation they had as kids (The Circus), and make it serve as very cute if on-the-nose foreshadowing.

Now before Stayed Gone began, Vox is talking with Valentino completely clean

And then right when the song begins, vox emerges again and THERE IS THE SALIVA. VOX HAD A 'Goodluck baby boy' KISS OF ENCOURAGEMENT TO SING HIS DISTRACK

Not EVEN to mention how Vox is seen with his saliva a LOT, like at the end of Poison. LOOK AT VOX WHEN HE SEES ANGEL, his smile drops and he teleports away. He's a jealous lil man like VOX IS SO NEEDY FOR VALENTINO HE NEEDS KISSES ALL THE TIME

I haven't seen anyone else mention this before but it felt like a powerful allusion to the pilot.

We get two 'blink and you miss it' jokes in the pilot, which I didn't notice until my third or fourth watch through.

And then in the final episode, this...

The signs, which had always been used to mock and insult him, are now directing him to the ultimate act of bravery and self sacrifice.

What a brilliant and subversive use of the rule of three! I love this show so much.

little vox / val things

i hate val these are just some silly things

vox specifically has a mode for alastor. this has happened so many times he had to program a safety mode for when he gets pissed off to protect his systems

they have a little ( cuztomized ? ) fizz bot

when vox says “which whore are we talking about this time ?” and val says “who the hell else would i be talking about,” vox points at himself

val has a signed poster to himself in his gun cabinet

when vox is yelling at val, his screen gets brighter, possibly because val is a moth demon and lights attract moths so he could be using it to get val’s attention

when vox lit val’s cigarette, the spark was in the shape of a heart

there’s an older photo of vox and val on vox’s desk thing where vox is a older tv model, showing he updates with technology. val also has both of his antennae in this photo. they’re also dressed for the times

val was doing arts and crafts in the meeting and he put his name on his gun in rhinestones

nothing else. just val’s face when vox says “THIS IS BETTER THAN SEX”
