We won. The competition, I mean. 

After you left, I stayed later in the studio. Not that it was stopping me before.

I’m not sure if I should thank you or not. For all the extra practice time we put in because I refused to leave. At least one of the other guys would stay with me to make sure I was okay.

And then I focused all my attention on dancing. And we won. We actually won.

I know it wasn’t out of nowhere now. I just can’t believe it took walking off the stage and looking for your face in the crowd for me to realize what I had done.

You were checked out of the relationship, right? You were finally done with all of my empty promises of coming home early or at least going to bed together more often?

We stopped eating dinner together. We stopped going on walks because I was too tired to do anything else other than collapse on the nearest couch. I woke up next to you, but you never woke up next to me.
