Life-Altering Traffic Light Design Concept of the Day: While incredibly strightfoward in its benefit over the existing arrangement, Thanva Tivawong’s “Sand Glass” LED traffic light design has gone incredibly unrealized since I first found out about it five minutes ago.

This would make it incredibly hard for people who are color blind to drive, though. As it is, color blind individuals memorize the arrangement of the colored lights and know when to go or stop based on whether the top or bottom light is lit.
