Your existence is so much more than your appearance; you are here to live, to laugh, to spend time with family and friends. You are not here to worry about what you look like. So it is time, my love, to thank your body for all its functions that allow you to enjoy life, for you have legs that carry you everywhere, arms that can embrace people you love, eyes to see the beauty of this earth, ears to hear your loved ones talk. Your body does so much for you and it will be there, no matter what you are going through. It will support you, it loves you and all it wants in return is to be suported, to be loved, too. Treat your body like a friend, not an enemy, for it was not created to look pretty, it was created to accompany you every step of the way.

Important things you should hear:

You don’t have to pretend to be strong if you feel like falling apart. It’s okay to show feelings. It’s okay to be vulnerable.

You are doing the best you can, no matter what that might look like. Do not be too hard on yourself; you are trying and that is enough.

You have conquered yet another day although you may thought you would not survive. You are still here and you are still fighting and I am so damn proud of you, my love.

You matter more than you could ever imagine. The world needs you. We need your light. Keep shining through your dark days.
