Midnight.
Mario's House.
Mario and Vivian are sitting on the couch together.
Vivian is laying on Mario's shoulder. Still drunk from the Chuckola Beer she drank in a party a while ago.
Mario: "Hey Viv... why is it that you chose ME of all people... I mean... there are way better people than me... ya know?"
Vivian: "Awwwe... is my sweetie putting himself down again? You know that I don't like that..."
Mario: "Im not!! Im just... I dunno if I even deserve someone like you... I'm just... confused I guess..."
Vivian: "Hm hm hm... Remember when we first met? My sisters never let me do anything... they would always make me sit on the corner until they came back... Beldam... she would always bring me little to no food... and hurt me with every chance she gets...
I was scared... and lost... and alone... all I ever knew was that I'm a mistake... that I never should've existed in the first place...
I never knew anything about love or even about happiness...
Until you came along...
I was in a really bad place... and you were the first ever person to ever show concern for me when others didn't... *hic*... You and the gang were the first ever people I felt happy being with... and being with you now... I've never felt anymore happier..."
(Vivian holds Mario's cheeks)
Mario: "V-Viv...?"
Vivian: "Hm hm hm... it's funny... never in my life I could ever feel more close to you... But... I know you'll never fall for me... you already have HER... right?"
(Mario was shocked for a moment...)
"Hehehe... it's fine... *hic*... I understand anyways... in the end... heroes always go for the more pretty ones... right? The ones who are more content and fortunate in life... the ones who are elegant and beautiful... not people like me... "
(Mario had an empty feeling inside as she said those words...)
Vivian "But it's okay..."
(Vivian's blushes grow bigger as she is as close to Mario's face)
(Mario's heart is beating louder...)
Vivian: "No matter what... I'll always support you... because... I..."
(Vivian passed out)
...
Mario: "... she finally slept..."
(Mario carried her to bed)
(Mario's eyes shined as he watches Vivian sleep peacefully)
(...)
(Mario held his chest tightly...)

100 character interaction ideas to help hone your posing skills. These require two characters, but you can also grab a friend to draw the other one!
I don’t normally do character interactions. I only draw one character per canvas lol. Do you have any tips on drawing characters being intimate or interacting. I want to make a romance comic but drawing those things are intimidating since it’s not in my comfort zone
The key is to finally start drawing interactions. My advice would be:
1. Use references to understand how human body works: how far a hand can reach when you hug someone, how the body adjusts to make a room for another's person's head etc. Movies are great as references because actors are in motion and try to be convincing with their emotions and movement, while posed photos of models on google or pinterest don't always look natural.
2. Learn from other artists. Check other people's art to see how they solve the issues, How the artists focus attention, what they can hide or expose to make the pose believable, convincing and clear for the viewer.
3. Plan the pose ahead, do thumbnails. And redraw the pose until it looks good. Then start drawing bigger. Don't focus on details at first, focus on big shapes and how they interact first.
4. Don't be precious with lines. Sometimes you need to hide the hand you like, otherwise your poses will look stiff and unconvincing, that's tough. If you draw digitally copy the layer and erase what's unnecessary.
5. Draw see through shapes so you can see if the proportions and structure makes sense.
You can also check my patreon, I posted there one big tutorial (in two parts) about drawing interactions and different tips and tricks that can help with it. There are drawings that explain my approach to this thing. Dunno. The most important thing is to dive into actually drawing people interacting. You get more comfortable doing it with time.
