You, Steve rogers, and James “Bucky” barns have always been best friends. You and Bucky have always been particularly close. People think it’s just a case of “in every trio there’s a duo” but it…a little more than that. You see, you and Bucky were in love. Of course, this being the 1940s people wouldn’t be too fond of gay people. It was always hard for you two. It was even harder now that he had been drafted and you hadent. The reason you hadn’t been drafted was a different story. Today was the last day you had with Bucky. You were both deviated, but both knew that was something he had to do. You were lying in bed, your head in chest well he strokes your hair. “Please don’t leave me, James.” You look up at him with pleasing eyes. He frowns and gazed down at you with his handsome, gentlemanly face. “You know I can’t, darlin’…” you sit up, tears pricking your eyes. “Yes you can, tell them you lost an arm or something, it can’t be that hard…I don’t wanna lose you.” You turn away from him, hurt that he would want to leave you. He sits up not long after, placing a hand on your shoulder. “Now sweetheart-“ “dont ‘sweetheart’ me.” You turn back around to him, tears falling. “You promised you would never leave me. You promised we would be together and no matter how much people wanted us apart we would always be together.” “And I ment it but“ “IM NOT DONE.” You stand up, breathing heavily and trying to wipe away the tears. “James, please…don’t leave me. I can’t live without you.” He follows you to the window you planted yourself in front of. “I mean- Bucky what if you don’t come back? Do you know what that would do to me? I would be nothing but a bitter queer living by himself and drinking booze until he passes out.” Your brunette lover snakes an arm around your waist. “I know, but this isn’t about me. This is about what I’m doing for our country. And besides, there’s no way I wouldn’t coming home to you.” He smiles, picking you up and slamming you back down on the bed, laughing. “You know I don’t like seeing you sad.” “Ok, fine. But can you at least stay until I fall asleep?” “Of course, darlin’.”

You waited for him to come back…he never did.

•you, violet, and Rhi on as much of a date as possible (probably just a walk or something) and tairn shows up out of nowhere. Bro goes where he wants(especially when his human and her partners are there)
