July For Loki Using 30 Days Of Deity Devotion Prompts, Day 3 Symbols And Icons Of Loki.
July for Loki using 30 Days of Deity Devotion prompts, Day 3 • Symbols and icons of Loki.
How to portray a single aspect of a shapeshifter? Impossible! Let's see some favorite icons/symbols of mine, though.
He's a Fire god, so whatever form of Fire, even a humble tealight, can be both a homage and a channel to him. Among the historical icons, the Snaptun Stone, the fascinating hearth stone with Loki’s face carved on it, is a personal favorite representation of him, along with the Gnezdovo mask which shows him smiling, the Vejen one with his lips sewn, and a couple of powerful depictions of him in chains. These are all proofs that Loki was an important figure in ancient Norse paganism, if ever such proof was needed (and yes, it was, and still is). In my personal experience, he seems to particularly enjoy these ones too.
But Loki is not stuck in the past, nor is he confined on an altar. Lots of natural elements, animals and plants can remind us of him, according to our practice, so here's a few that are particularly dear to me. Fire, of course; rivers; lightning; lava rocks; sulphur; obsidian, carnelian, fire opal/agate and dark/firey crystals in general; dandelions; foxes; hawks; poisonous plants; horned/antlered animals; vultures/scavenger animals; snakes; salmon; spiders; cinnamon; coffee; whiskey...
The list could go on forever as it's basically endless. My practice with him brought me to experience Loki as a 360° deity, so my suggestion to you is, if you're wondering whether something is a sign from him or not, don't trust such lists: go ask him. He's usually quite kind. Kinda. 😏

I forgot to post these here, bunch of Norse mythology pieces done for school.
A tree burning inside after a lightning strike, or, in other words, the birth of Loki 🔥
Thor: [to Loki, angrily] What do you think Sigyn would say if she were here?
Loki: [points to where Sigyn is standing]
Sigyn: [takes of picture of Loki] Neat!
Me: …Is this Ragnarok, Loke?
Loki: Ragnarok’s been happening for a while, love. *Sighs*
Me: *Hugs Loki*
Love.
Hello i’ve absolutely loved all your sketches so far <3 my prompt is odin and/or loki dancing, if that’s something you could see them doing. I’m so curious as to what style you would picture them dancing in :D
