RUMIKO TAKAHASHI WAS FINALLY INDUCTED INTO THE EISNER HALL OF FAME! 

This is her fourth time being nominated, but the previous times she did not make it in (much to the frustration of many fans). She is one of the very few Japanese comic artists to be honored with this induction. The others are Katsuhiro Otomo (Akira), Osamu Tezuka, Goseki Kojima, and Kazuo Koike (the latter two both of Lone Wolf and Cub fame). You can see from that list how rare an honor this is. 

The Eisner Awards are considered the ‘Oscars for comics’, and being inducted into the hall of fame is the equivalent to a lifetime achievement award at said Oscars. 

Rumiko Takahashi is the most successful female comic artist of all time not just in Japan, but throughout the entire world. That alone should have warranted her inclusion the first time she was nominated, but I’m so pleased it’s finally happened now.

(I had an inkling that MAYBE it would happen this year, considering the UY license rescue, but I wasn’t going to get my hopes up.)

Then the troll @bestsniperleon deleted and I took control of the url so they won’t come back.

Add people to block and I’ll update this with edits. Just be aware and block/report of you already haven’t.
