Feminism must be intersectional and include trans women, but at the same time we cannot ignore the fact that a great deal of sexism and misogyny is sex/anatomy based and stems from hatred and repulsion of the vagina and uterus

Feminism must be intersectional but that does not mean that cis women and trans women have ALL of the exact same problems, just as a white woman will not have the same problems as a black woman, just as a straight woman will not have the same problems as a lesbian

A vagina and a uterus are not critical to womanhood, but one cannot deny that they have been a central part of the historical oppression of women. One cannot deny that the vagina in particular is made into something shameful and secretive by society, something that we learn almost nothing about aside from the fact that it’s where blood and babies come from. The vulva and labia and clitoris are all but ignored. To be called a “pussy” is an an insult, and how many times have we heard cis men belittle another by implying he has a vagina? As if that were a shameful thing for a man to have?

So I don’t find it problematic or un-feminist to celebrate those parts of your anatomy, because they are worth celebrating if you choose to, so long as you acknowledge that they are not the defining factor of womanhood.

We must be inclusive, but we must also acknowledge that we, as women, all have different experiences and thus may have different needs. Erasing our differences, rather than celebrating them and working according to them, is not going to help us.
