I was painting in dream, something vague was unfolding, something about mixed feelings lurking on a background of gratitude … something bittersweet, with a touch of anger even, maybe …

And there, out of my favorite haphazard blue, almost drowning in the thick nite air, tiniest of the furry ones, friend of Cinderella, first on the scale of Astrology, a pale Rat embracing a tree, gratefully, fearfully, as two dogs were longing to skin it …

And I could feel everything – soft breathe holding on, smoothness of the bark, sharpness of claws grasping a slippery slope … And I was all Love

I started this piece months ago and wrote a swan song for it. Somehow, hundreds of flowers, found along the way, bloom of a high mountain weren’t enough for me. Something was missing : A spring blossom, irises, an atmosphere. A moody weather gave me the final impulse : If it had to be about Soulshine, it had to be a seasonal journey, a fragile beauty caught in the cycle of snow storm, rain and golden sun…
