Favorite pieces from the new Toxic Vision collection.

âSo did I.â the thought unsaid, her human last name only brought pain and weight bordering on unbearable.
She slowly stood, still silently presenting she wasn't a threat to her.
âI insistâ Cindy smiled, pulling the somewhat crumpled bills from her jacket, handing all of it âYou probably should get a therapy session after...that. And I always can get more for myself whenever I want. I'm a good singer and fighter. The crowd is entertained either way.â she shrugged, the only material goods she truly cared about were leather jackets and CDs

Her kindness must be a striking difference from the monster that burst out and retreated just as quickly.
âI definitely wouldn't mind doing so either. Not just as compensation and guilt; well admittedly, they are there but not the reason I proposed the idea.â

phoenixbornâ:

She felt terrible for scaring the woman so badly but she has seen what lengths those âpushy guysâ will go if not dealt with immediately.
âYour name is pretty. It suits you.â Cindy replied with a small smile, not moving from her position just yet

âYou are the first one to ask that question correctly.â Cindy sighed, head lightly hitting the lamppost as she looked up to the now standing catlike woman
âIt is a long story, the short version is that Iâm a cosmic entity and have no ties to Hell nor Heaven.â saying out loudâŠwas laughable, expect Summer had seen her do something out of this world so easily
âIf you would like to hear the long story, spend the rest of your day without creeps, I would gladly accompany you. And pay for your time of course. I know this realm uses souls as a currency and thereâs an arena for fights in almost every corner. Just say how much you would like.â she wasnât joking the slightest, Cindy didnât care if she paid for company, at least the woman would be safe from harm while with her. Even though, the âsoul currencyâ left a ghost of a laugh in her; howâŠfitting yet terrible name. At least when it came to her.

âOhâŠthank you. I guess I chose my name well.â A hint of a smile, albeit an unsure one, tugs at her lips. It wouldnât have been the first time someone compliment her name, but this time if felt more genuine.
When the feline sinner is told of Cindyâs true nature, she finds sheâs not really surprised. Of course, if the cosmic entity had told before she wouldnât have believed her. But after witnessing what the fiery-haired woman could doâŠSummer was more inclined to believe what she was told.
She found she did want to hear the long story.
Summer shook her head as she stood up. âThat wonât be necessary, hon. Like I told the uhââ A quick glance to the scorched mark on the pavement where her harasser was standing a few moments ago. ââthe other guy Iâm off the clock. I donât mind if you keep my company but you donât have to pay me for my time.â

âIf you can't hit and hold even one note live, let alone on records that strikes the fear in god himself or makes you sound like one; then get the fuck off the stage. I'm sick of hearing...well nothing just mumbling and muttering in the same octave.â

âHate to be the one to tell, you don't have the talent just a fancy manager. And people forgetting how real music should sound.â

His words didn't fail to cause an echo in her mind. If his father didn't consider neither him or Sakuya his child; then who? Although she didn't press only slotted the information away when more parts of the new puzzle would fall into place.

âIf I drank, I would take one to both of our actual father figures. He taught you well.â her tone warm yet serious, heart aching for both siblings âAnd to the fact that they probably would've kicked the shit out of the biological ones.â
Cindy was only slightly surprised that Sakuya was...acquainted with her.
âYour sister really likes danger, doesn't sheâ the cosmic fire chuckled lowly at the Cherry blossom demon's taste; but hey she definitely had no room to judge
âErebus, do I look like I'm interested in politics?â well now she was

âLet alone the politics of a pocket dimension destined to be torn apart from the inside or by the ârighteous â Heaven, not knowing or not giving a fuck by doing that, it would disrupt the balance. Which I'm a little sensitive to.â
âAnd if he's not an idiot, she better be.â once again deep in thought before something clicked
âHellborns and Heavenborns have no soul. As they spawn inside the pocket dimensions connected yet separated from Earth. The higher ones have some sort of essence but that's it. Sinners, as they call those ending up here however, have a soul. I can see yours clearly- yes I can see, tear out and consume souls, good nightmare fuel I know.â Cindy waved with a slight chuckle, she probably haven't told that part
âBut to the point. This woman, despite being a demon looks quite human, save from a few features. And I can confirm that she doesn't fall into Hellborn nor Sinner category. Parts of her soul are...missing. Not a clean cut or a ghost of its vibrancy either when some sort of contract is performed, no. Like it's been torn apart, torn into; some wounds are fresh the others older so whatever the actual fuck is going on, it has been going on for a while. And considering her pride, I doubt she willingly agreed to something like this.â

phoenixbornâ:

She knew how to work with and around height, even when it came such drastic difference. Once balance was lost, there wasnât enough time to fight off the opponent and gravity. She made no other move after Erebus was successfully maneuvered to the floor, only glancing down with a faint grin.
A lazy cartwheel turned into a headstand pose her face lingering above his; a subtle flex of agility, balance with a hint of gymnastics talent.
âI was.â

This time was no denying the ever growing smirk, she stood effortlessly from the handstand.
âNot your fault my father instead of playing dressup with me carried me to a prison deep in the Soviet Union and allowed a convicted felon to teach me. Said convicted felon turned out to be more of a father figure aside from making me realize that all the fancy instructors only taught the basics.â Cindy shrugged lightly despite the heavy topic, retrieving her bottle of water and placing it on top of the tallest training dummy
âWatch.â she tossed over her shoulder
The woman was a blur, like gravity didnât apply to her as she scaled the easily two feet taller object, each spin with more force harnessed from momentum, the final kick sending the bottle slamming to the wall across the room. A quick high kick after she landed from such height; natural to redirect the remaining energy.
âHis name was Yuri Boyka.â Cindy smiled fondly as if the previous display didnât occur a few seconds ago. âI havenât seen an another fighter-â she cut herself off with furrowed brows at the realization
âActually I have. When I was checking out the local clubs, arenas. That woman, resembling to a dragon. Built like a tank but faster than a snake in oil. I think sheâs the one people call her âGeneralâ, but I highly doubt Hell offers martial arts training that level otherwise Heaven wouldâve shat their robes long time ago.â

âShow off.â He muttered good-naturedly, a smirk of his own tugging at his lips as he sat up.Â

His brows rose slightly as he slowly got to his feet, enraptured by her story. âI know our situations ainât exactly the same, but my old man wanted nuthinâ to do with me or Sakuya. As far as he was concerned he only had one kid.â His and Sakuyaâs older half-brother and a grade-A asshole. âThe only father figure I ever got was an old street performer who taught me how to play guitar in the first place.â
He watched her impromptu demonstration, fascinated by how fast and effortlessly she moved. ââŠThink I know who youâre talkinâ about. Pretty sure Sakuya actually bet on her once. But ainât she Luciferâs big-shot General or somethinâ?â He didnât know too much about the woman, but those who spoke of her did so with either fear, awe, or disdain lacing their tones. Erebus on the other hand, was perfectly content with hopefully never crossing paths with the monster of a General.
