This is very much self indulgent AU territory, but Evan and Cassidy in this version where they survive are both detectives working in the police force together to solve homicides
Evan hopes to right the wrongs of his family and distance himself from the terrible legacy Freddy’s has earned them. He and Cassidy both go by aliases to escape their old lives and childhoods they wish to leave behind.
They both have a soft spot for children, wanting to protect any future victims from crimes that might be committed
