Sorry, most likely my memory being poor, but I thought Malleus' mom (don't know how to spell her name and too lazy to check how to spell it) was already an adult when Lilia ""proposed""?? Like I was always under the assumption that it was like a one-sided child crush on somebody completely out of your league you tend to have as a kid 💀

I don't think they say how old she was? although it's entirely possible I just misunderstood; my Japanese is...shaky. :') the actual line is "幼い頃に私に求婚したのは偽りか?", which I read as "isn't it true that you proposed to me as a kid?", and took as her being older than him, but not necessarily an adult (like, I was thinking of Lilia as being not quite a preteen and Mel being preteen/young teen). although I don't know if there's a connotation or something I'm missing that implies a bigger age gap, if that makes sense!

(and of course, I might also just be forgetting some other line -- if someone else knows, then please correct me! I need to know which headcanons need adjusting 👀)

BUT YEAH in a canon-y sense, Malleus is 178 and around the third-years developmentally. which makes me think that even though dragons have a way longer lifespan, they go through childhood at about the same rate as most fae (or at least the kind that Lilia is) and just kinda...slow waaaaay down once they hit adulthood. so it makes sense in my brain that he and Meleanor could've basically grown up together!

...it makes it angstier that way, anyway. :)

Leona stares hard at Yuu. She wasn't doing the typical girl thing of blushing and acting shy as she hid behind her hair. No, instead, she was looking right at him. The glow of the setting sun behind her painted the human in a beautiful light. The chatter of the others he had invited to the bead brawl became background noise. They were all back at the hotel, coming off the win Yuu had secured for them at the last second.

"You're joking, right?" He chokes out.

She shakes her head. "That would be a shitty thing to joke about if I was."

"Haha...I'm the worst option."

"Nah, the worst option is back at school."

He sighs. "Herbivore-"

"Leona." Her voice was strict and sharp. "What is so unbelievable about me falling in love with you?"

"Fuck Kifaji!" She slams the table in pure unadulterated anger and no doubt brings the attention to the pair of them. "You are more than whatever that fucking put-me down factory tells you. Do you hear me?"

"I told you what Kifaji was planning and instead of lying down and taking it, you trained me as the hidden weapon. You were backed into a corner and pulled out a trump card. And guess what? We won. We won because of your back up plan."

Leona had tugged Yuu for a kiss, pulling her against his body as he kissed her with as much love as she was giving him. His sharp hearing picked up on Lilia trying to get everyone's attention away from the pair. They broke away with both of them panting heavily.

"I don't think I can call you Herbivore, anymore." He jokes. "So how about 'Lioness'?"

"'Herbivore' take more people by surprise, but I'm not opposed to it." She smiles.

Leona smiles back. Man, he loves this woman.
