If Mabel pissed you off then Dipper should too. Period. Neither are perfect characters or perfect siblings (and they shouldn't be). Mabel helped Mermando get back to his family, did it get in Dipper's way, yes. But ultimately, it was to help someone else even if she never got to see him again. Dipper was selfish, because he wanted more time with Wendy (who he was just as obsessed with as Mabel was for boys). Dipper rubs all his wins in Mabel's face which is when she gets him back with making fun of him for being shorter. Literally just typical sibling behavior, even I know that and I'm an only child.
