it was time for you to get your shit together. all your wallowing and moping from the most recent failed relationship had been at the expense of your studies. missing lectures and assignments that greatly impacted your gpa because of a silly boy who threw you away like nothing wasn’t worth it anymore.

this was also a part of the ongoing and vicious cycle. after getting completely heartbroken, that sadness would turn into anger. anger at yourself for being so affected and at the one who left you for having such an effect on you. after a few weeks, you’d quickly bounce back, building up those walls again and move on with your life. as if you were preparing yourself to do it all over again.

sitting in the school library, it was empty aside from the few other students who had the same crazy idea as you. the time read 10:13 pm and you were slowly growing tired, which then escalated into frustration that you were nowhere near done with catching up. your eyes grew bleary at the amount of tiny texts you were reading on your laptop screen as well as from your textbooks. but you couldn’t give up now. just one more chapter at least. as you read and simultaneously listen to your professors recorded lecture, none of your thoughts were coherent because the notes you were writing were absolute nonsense.

omg want chimckem!!!! the brain goes brrr boom thought. professor kim low-key fine. ????? !!!!!! fuzzy sock = carpet for ur feet were some of the notes that littered your notebook page. you didn’t realize what you had wrote until you had finished reading the text and just stared at your handwriting. groaning, you drop your pen and then drop your head onto the desk you were sitting at with a thud! the sudden noise in the quiet space caused a couple students to look up, but quickly returned to their own work once they found the source. it’s no biggie, just another struggling college kid. you softly bang your head against the desk repeatedly, hoping it’ll snap you out of this fatigue instead of damaging more of your braincells.
