I know we like to poke fun at the funny lil bald boy but I feel like sometimes people forget that while Lyle is low-key silly and goofy... He's not dumb. Ask yourself, why would quaritch have Lyle as essentially his right hand man if he wasn't reliable or knowledgeable? Lyle would be a straight up liability if he was constantly fucking up or doing stupid shit on missions.

I think folks get a bit carried away with the whole "hehe no thoughts only vibes" hcs they have about Lyle. 😭

I imagine that in a non serious setting, he definitely comes off that way but once they're on a mission or doing a job, he completely changes his act. Hell, I'll even describe him as a little bloodthirsty at times. The fact that Quaritch had to keep him from shooting Jake from across the water by physically putting his hand on his gun like bro's a shoot first ask questions later type of dude.
