Slug’s Snow Day

My first finished video! I have MANY WIPs, but something about this one pushed me to finish it. Maybe because its short, lol

Rainpaw, the main character of my work in progress warriors comic ‘The Will of the Stars’ was born in a litter of three kittens at the start of winter. It will probably never be explicitly mentioned how the third kitten died in the comic, so I decided to make something that will explain it from Slug’s own point of view! Be warned, there are mentions of neglect in the explanation, and it is implied in the video.

Slugkit (the kitten seen throughout the video) was born in Thunderclan alongside Rainkit and Snailkit (the other two kittens briefly seen) to Specklesky (the white and black spotted molly at the end) and Cedarstride (the brown tabby who walks with them out of camp) at the start of winter. Near the end of it, Cedarstride wanted to try to make sure his kits would be the best of the best. Rainkit was found to be mute, and he wanted to push his other children to be great because he thought one of them would be a failure. Since Snailkit was snuggled up with Rainkit, and taking her would wake him and their mother up, he took Slugkit. They were excited, as Cedarstride promised they could do some battle training, despite Slugkit only being two or three moons old. (I know the size of the kittens varies in the video, I’m going to work on it in the future) Slugkit quickly became tired, cold, and slow. Cedarstride became impatient and frustrated, and told them to just stay where they were until he got back. He went to meet up with a cat from Riverclan he had been ‘seeing’. That cat, Meadowheart, told him they were pregnant with his kits. Cedarstide was so freaked out by this news that he forgot about Slugkit entirely and ran back to camp. Slugkit was attacked by a fox. They were near camp, so some warriors searching for them scared it away, but they were too little and too weak from the cold to survive long enough to even realize they had been saved. Specklesky, as shown in the video, does not yet know about Slugkit’s death. Cedarstride tells everyone that they had wandered off on their own, but everyone knows. Specklesky, at the time, can’t believe her mate would do that, and denies it for a long time.
