scenario 1:

you: i'm tired. him: *missed call* him: pick up the phone him: *2 missed calls* him: where are you? i'm coming over

whether you were having a tough time physically, emotionally or even mentally, these boyfies want (no, absolutely needed) to see you for themselves, to see that you were truly okay

are the types to have your texts as high priority notifications: if you didn't pick up immediately they would try and try and try until they get through you because they are so worried for you

their minds would be racing and all thoughts of rationality might just be thrown out of the window; they are scrambling to get their keys/ bus pass or whatever mode of transport they are taking and they will be at wherever you are, no matter how late

if it was physical tiredness, then you best believe they will be at your beck and call, anything to help you unwind/ relax

if it was something more mentally or emotionally taxing, they will hold you tight and whisper sweet nothings into your ears, reassuring you all while comforting you

scenario 2:

you: i'm tired. him: what happened? want to talk about it? i'm here for you, okay? i don't know what's going on but if anything please talk to me. if not...should i come over? if you don't want to text we can call too. don't be alone right now, let me share your burdens with you, let me be your strength. him: even if not today, then tomorrow, or whenever you are ready. i'll be here waiting for you.

respects your personal space ! but is antsy and wishes they could do something for you; definitely would be thinking about your text the entire time until you reply to them

as soon as you start texting back, they are putting down everything to reply to you, letting you talk and reading your messages carefully before texting you their hearts truest intentions

or if you call them back, same thing ! they will stop whatever they are doing so that they can listen to you, and will even switch on their video cams so that you can see them

in the case whereby you want to meet up, they will find you at their soonest availability and get you over to theirs so that you two can have a private, cozy space to talk

scenario 3:

you: i'm tired. him: let's go get something nice to eat ~

these silly goofy boyfies probably mistook the text and attributed it to physical tiredness; they would probably be struggling to write a response and hence would reply a lot later ("did you mean tired or like tired tired or like..." is what is going through their heads)

surely decided to bait you to come out so they can talk to you (and to make sure you aren't alone too)

take it as a distraction ! they only want to make sure you're comfortable and they want to shower you with all their attention and love; they don't want to bring your focus to how tired you were

not good texters but good do-ers (does this make sense?) they will show to you how much they care for you through their actions

Hello 👋 just wanted to drop in and say that I love en-sanctuary so much. The series so underrated wtf ?? Please don't feel pressures to discontinue (or continue) the series! I think It's underrated because usually hybrid AUs associate members with predators or strong animal (like deer hybrid Hee or Snow Leopard hybrid Hoon) but I really love the domestic feel and wholesomeness of your series. a/n: delirious on the fact that i've stopped dancing, yet i still miss being on stage all the same ,, (lowkey been playing that song too) so enjoy !!

wooyoung huffed, blowing a wayward strand of hair out of his face.

maybe he shouldn’t have agreed to take on this challenge.

but who was he to reject spending more time with his crush, especially if he was desperate to prove himself? 

he glanced at you, a frown forming at how easily you flowed. like a never-ending river of interconnected moves, wooyoung found himself lacking.

(he reasoned that he was just not as experienced as you were, having joined this dance crew just recently.)

you seemed to sense his stare and you flipped around, shooting him an innocent smile. 

“let’s try this again!” 

he couldn’t really say no to you, not while you were beaming at him like he was your whole world. tucking his hair back under his cap, he smacked his face a couple of times, “i got this.” 

“no, we got this.” you emphasized on the “we”, making eye contact with him through the mirror.

he nodded, gaining strength at your words. together, you two danced in unison, self-made choreography from weeks back coming along nicely. 

the studio was near silent, save for you counting the beats and his sneakers squeaking against the cool wooden floor. he caught himself pausing, trying to copy your moves instead and internally berated himself for not being able to remember. 

“damn it!” he cursed under his breath and you stood in front of him, your hands lightly touching his shoulders, “hey, hey. deep breaths. you with me?” your eyes were trained on him while explaining the steps again, using your own analogy to help him ease back into the steps. 

wooyoung stumbled yet again at a particularly difficult portion, and he flopped down while whining, “this is too hard!” he pulled off his hat and swung it to the side, using the back of his to wipe his sweat away. 

you loomed over him before squatting down, a wry smile on your face,  “i mean, i thought you really looked good!” he peeked up at you, and he pushed himself up, in disbelief that his crush was complimenting him. 

“wait, really?” 

you burst out laughing, “yeah! truthfully, if you had given up at the first practice, i’d have lost my respect for you as a dancer. we all have something that we’re better at, but to try something new is another way of showing appreciation too, you know.” 

you lightly hit his shoulders and sat yourself down, facing him. “you’re doing great, really. plus with such a nice dancing line like yours, contempt looks pretty coming from you.” his heart skipped a beat, pumping to a rhythm only his truest intentions knew. 

“o-h! thank you for that.” he felt zings shoot up his arms when you playfully grabbed his hands, “you usually pick up on things fast, so i know you can do it again!” you pulled him up to his feet, urging him to continue with you. 

soon enough, his heart was dancing like butterfly wings.

↬ tags: school! au (leaning towards university), i can imagine this happening pleasee, not well written but i think it's cheesy (i originally wanted to tap in on mental load in couples because i found that meaningful but i couldn't fit that concept entirely in there)

summary: heeseung wants to take you out on a date, but you're too busy looking at the things that are not him

word count: 539 words

“looking at this diagram, we can then derive…”

heeseung easily tuned out the lecture, choosing to steal glances at you. you sat to his right, studiously taking down relevant notes while he was…well, looking at you. Inching a little closer, he made sure that his fidgeting hasn’t caught your attention, as he leans towards you. 

“you’ve got something to say?” you whispered under your breath, your eyes darting from the whiteboard to your notes.

“nope. i love you.” he whispered back, his right elbow shuffling closer so that it touched yours. he watched as you smiled to yourself, shaking your head whilst highlighting several keywords. 

“you aren’t gonna pay attention? it’s important, you know.” you lightly chided, this time gazing at him and his heart skips a beat.

“you’re just as important and i rather stare at you than hear professor park drone on about some formula.” heeseung playfully retorted back and you rolled your eyes, left hand coming up to rest on his thigh. 

“okay class, now about the upcoming mid-terms…here are some reminders…” you immediately took your hands off and resumed scribbling and heeseung nearly pouts at the warmth lost. he huffed, moving unbearably close to you. he side-eyes the things being written down, the dates you circled repeatedly and the content that was added bullet point after bullet point. 

the same information was definitely gonna be disseminated through the class group chat anyways: he knows the class president well enough to “extort” notes easily.

yet you always tell him to start paying attention in class, but heeseung can’t really care; he was just glad to be with you.

speaking of which…

picking up his own pen, he writes down “DATE???”, before ripping the page of his notebook and pushing the paper towards you. his action caught your attention and you raised an eyebrow at the paper, before directing it to him. 

a date? you mouthed. yeah, you and me. study date if you want. he mouthed back. 

your focus was back on the scrap of paper and he already saw the cogs in your head whirring. heeseung knows you don't really like sudden surprises or abrupt changes to your plan, so saying it today would technically give him…about 3-4 buffer days.

he wrote down, “your favorite cafe, this weekend” and eyed your expression. you perked up, yet seriously considered it for a few seconds, and knowing you, giving it thought means he has room for a little negotiation. 

“okay, what…” you hesitated. he stood a chance!

you gestured for him to lower his voice, yet there was only much he could do to contain his excitement. 

he spoke in hushed tones, happiness coursing through his veins, "we can get whatever you want to eat! oh, that reminds me there's a new menu coming out too so we can check it out. what do you say?" heeseung nodded, trying to get approval. you seemed satisfied with his answer and nodded back, all while smiling.

"and...you can wear that fit you had just gotten over the weekends. i know you've been dying to wear that out." judging by your new level of excitement, heeseung knows he won you over.

"you're gonna match?" "yeah of course! anything with you."
