NCT 127 <roommate au> - Johnny

“AH!” Johnny wasn’t sure if he heard that right. He shrugged it off, assuming that perhaps the action-packed movie he’s immersed in had someone screaming. “Johnny Seo!” Okay, that sure did not come from Mission Impossible. He removed his earpieces, “What is it?” He trekked into the room, only to burst out laughing at you standing flushed against the wall on the bed.

He regained his composure, “W-What is it?” You squeezed your eyes shut and pointed to under the table. “Spider.” Was the only thing you said and Johnny’s eyes widened. He forgot you had a phobia of bugs and he immediately bends down, crouching under your desk to remove the little bugger, sprinting out of the room to dispose of it. 

“Okay. It’s gone now. You can come down.” Johnny was about to leave but when he saw you still standing there he cocked his head to the right, “Are you okay?” “My legs…are numb...” You gave him the puppy eyes and he sighed, his heart swelling at how cute you were. Gently wrapping his arms around your thighs he lifted you off the bed. He was about to put you down on the floor but your squirmed, “I’m not going to sleep here tonight. What if another one comes in?” You propped yourself up, holding on to his shoulders. “Can I sleep with you tonight?” Johnny looked up at you and of course he’d wouldn’t be able to resist you. If you had asked for a kidney, he’d donate them to you. 

Pretending to be mad, he shortly released his grip on you and you screamed, but he caught you again, “And what if I say no?” You were standing on his feet, your arms tightly wrapped around his neck as you buried your face in his chest. 

“No, no. Johnny. Please? I’m terrified if anything else comes in. your room doesn’t have a window and you know you’re big and you can scare them off-”

“-Just kidding. I’ll take the couch and you can take my bed.”

“We can just squeeze into one. Just don’t leave me alone with any creepy-crawlies.”

“So I guess playing with water guns in the cold weather wasn’t the best idea, hm?” Jeno dug out the fever pills and handed them to you. Jeno leaned his back against the kitchen counter as you gulped down the pills, grimacing as you did so. Chenle sat beside you, pouting. “I’m not going to die Chenle. I’ll be better soon. I swear.” You pinky promised and Chenle left. Jeno knew you were trying to reassure him, but judging from your hunched back, you were hiding it.

“Off to bed. I’ll make sure the rest stays quiet.” Jeno tapped your thigh, motioning you to stand up. You huffed, “Can you piggy-back me? I think my legs just went bleh. And my head is pounding.” You stuck out your tongue, attempting and succeeding in showing a dead face. Jeno good-naturedly rolled his eyes and you happily hopped on.

You let out a stifled yawn as Jeno tucked you in, “Aren’t you glad I’m the one taking care of you and not Chenle?” “Mhm. Chenle can’t even take care of himself.” Jeno hummed in agreement and when he heard you go silent, he knew that the drug has taken effect and he wordlessly left the room.

“Could you guys lower your volume? Someone that’s not Chenle is sick.” Jeno poked fun at Chenle and he threw a pillow at him. “Geez, hyungs! Stop looking at me like that!” With that he left the living room, escaping to his shared room with Jisung. Jeno sinked into the couch and flipped through his book, his eyes moving from left to right.

He finally had some free time outside his schedule to read this book, but his peace was cut short when Haechan raised his voice for the remote control, “It’s my turn to decide on what we’re watching today! Oh dang, I’m too loud.” Jaemin comedically widened his eyes, and Renjun hushed them. Sighing in slight frustration, he languidly stalked into your room.

He saw your bed sheets rustling and he froze at the door. “I can see you Jeno.” Your eyes surfaced from the blankets and Jeno laughed, “Hi, how are you?” “Like cotton in my system.” Jeno crawled to the end of your bed and proceeded to read where he left off.

“Are you finally reading that book I gave you?” You murmured, twisting your body and squinting a little to see the title. “Yeah.” A pause later Jeno suggested, “I’ll read it out.” You flashed him a happy smile and he reached over to tuck you in, a domestic action Jeno was accustomed to. Just like that, the two of you had spent time together, him reading off the book and you nodding off to la-la-land.
