“Hop in.” “Who? Me?” 

Jacob raised an eyebrow incredulously at you from inside his car, his lips turning upwards, “Yes you. Hop in. I’ll give you a lift back home.” He definitely didn’t miss out on the fact that your face turned a shade redder at his offer. 

Leaving his left hand on the steering wheel, leaned towards you who were still standing at the entrance of the company, “It wouldn’t be nice if I left you standing in the cold.” He supplied. 

Jacob saw your resolve buckle as you finally reached out for the door handle, sliding into the car next to him. “There we go! Let’s buckle you in~!” Pulling the black seatbelt over you, he securely strapped you in as you stared dumbfounded at him, “I...could have done that myself, but thank you, Leader-nim.” 

“We’re out of the company. You can just call me by my name.” Jacob waved you off and begin driving, eyes occasionally darting to you. You got comfortable as you rattled off your home address and Jacob keyed that into the GPS system. 

“Didn’t expect you to be working this late. I thought you had went off with Juyeon, Kevin or Changmin.” You sheepishly rubbed the back of your neck, “Chanhee needed some help with with the excel sheets, but he left a little earlier because he needed to do something.” 

“And by earlier you meant just after Juyeon and Changmin left?” Jacob knew you a little too well. “Yeah, but it’s alright I didn’t have any other engagement after work.” You (rather adorably) defended your colleagues as Jacob flicked the lights, signaling that he was going to turn right. He glanced at you as you stifled a yawn. As expected of his most hardworking junior working with him. 

“Take a rest. I’ll wake you up when we reach.” Jacob assured. You were mid-yawn when your eyes widened, “I...can?” “I can’t stop you for taking a short nap, right?” Jacob teased back. As the car slowed to a stop at the traffic light, he grabbed the blanket and draped it over you. 

“Sleep.” He firmly stated, patting you on the head twice before returning his attention to the road. “Thank you...Jacob.” You tucked the blanket under your chin as your eyes fluttered close. He couldn’t help but smile at your vulnerable sight, unlike your usual serious and uptight self.

first one to wake and is also the first one who would go to yejun for cuddles 

proceeds to also wake yejun up in the processes

but yejun loves him (and all of them) to deal with the ball of excitement early in the morning 

would attempt to get you out of bed for an early morning walk but he knows it would never work 

Yejun yawned, awaking to a very eager looking Jake sitting at the end of your bed. “…Jake?” “Good morning!” He excitedly greeted, happiness radiating off him. She smiled, opening your arms for a “good morning hug”, lovingly termed by the golden retriever hybrid himself. Yejun let loose another yawn, arms looping around a pliant Jake who was snuggled at her left.

for the mouse hybrid, the smallest noise also stirs him from his sleep 

if jake wasn’t hoarding yejun, heeseung would be with yejun instead, lying beside you 

quiet moments are spent with him just like that: whether in bed, or in the kitchen (the two common places) 

if jake was with yejun then he’d still choose to join the two of them, watching as jake attempts to lick yejun awake while yejun pushes him away, holding onto heeseung for purchase

“I like mornings spent with you.” Yejun smiled over the top of her cup as she gingerly sipped the hot chocolate she prepared for both Heeseung and her. “I like it too.” Heeseung nodded, warming his hands around the mug. The snow was silently falling outside while the two of them enjoyed a quiet morning together, legs tangled under the table.

similar to heeseung, but he opts to stay in bed until yejun personally wakes him up with a kiss to his forehead 

it has become a habit, if yejun doesn’t “wake him up” with a kiss, he’d actually get pouty 

is terribly shy to ask you for kisses and instead just taps his forehead if you forget to give him one 

yejun knows that sunghoon is pretending to sleep, as his long floppy ears twitching being a telltale sign 

Sunghoon hears Yejun approaching and he turns to face the wall, poorly attempting to hide that he’s awake. Yejun pads over in those fluffy slippers of hers and pats Niki (his roommate) awake. “Niki, Heeseung made some ramyeon outside for everyone so wash up and have something warm to eat.” Niki makes a noise of agreement and Yejun heads for Sunghoon. She leans over and brushes his hangs out of the way before pressing a kiss on his forehead, “Good morning my sleepy baby.”

still lazes around in bed even after yejun attempts to wake him up, but is clearly awake

will try to get yejun to lie down with him so that he could go back to sleep because “a growing kids needs sleep” 

but if he’s awake, he’d trail behind yejun to do morning routines together (it’s a funny sight because he’s quite tall and he’s practically towering over her) 

“The sun is shining brightly today! Shall we hang the wet laundry?” Yejun determinedly decided. “Okay!” He bounded towards the basket of wet clothing and easily lifted it up. Trailing behind Yejun, the two of them headed to the small backyard where the racks were at. Bending down to pick up the articles of clothing, he burst out laughing at the sight of Yejun struggling to hang the big bedsheet over. “I got this. You can leave it to me!” “Hey! I’m not that short!”

was awake long ago but like niki proceeds to laze around in the living room instead

would find him curled up at the couch, or with another hybrid (still on the couch) 

would be in the kitchen where breakfast/ brunch is if he wasn’t at the couch

craftily sneaks food off the dining table 

Today’s breakfast was kimchi and scallion pancakes prepared by Jake. Sunoo keenly watched Jake as the chef bustled around the kitchen, finding seasoning. Chopsticks in hand, he snatched out to grab a thick but small slice of pancake. Calmly moving away from the kitchen, he headed towards Yejun who was watering the carrots in the backyard. “Yejun nooona! For you!” “Thank you~”

would sleep through chaos in the house 

takes a lot of patting and persuading from yejun 

“Jungwon. Jay.” Yejun stared at the two sleeping figures, her arms on her hips. Drawing closer, she sat down and begun carding her hands through Jay’s hair. “Jay, wakey wakey. The sun’s shining and everyone’s had breakfast.” “5 more minutes.” He purred. Unknowingly, Jungwon was lazily pawing at Yejun’s free hand. Next thing she knew, Jungwon had his head on Yejun’s lap while Jay grabbed onto her forearm, causing her to be practically sandwiched between both cat hybrids. “You two are such sleepyheads. Good thing I’ve saved some food for you.”

very understanding + will keep holding you until you tears stop falling down your face

kisses you gently, uses the pads of his thumb to wipe your tears away

"honey, wanna tell me what happened?” OR “now that your tears are gone, we can cuddle up for a nice movie! sounds good, love?"

will not ask you about why you cried unless you tell him, but he'd be the type to want to know why so that he wouldn't have to see you crying again

definitely will find something else to take your mind off the issue that is bothering you

grey domestic mouse hybrid

likes: when you leave snacks around the house, spending quiet time together with you 

dislikes: loud noises, cold weather when it snows or gets windy

habits: tends to burrito-roll himself into blankets when cold, nibbles on your inner palm for attention 

“for you.” heeseung looked up from the book in his hands to face a plastic bag chock full of snacks. 

“for me?” he repeated, questioning the bag. you grabbed his hand and passed the bag to him. “keep this stash for yourself. i’ll put the rest outside for everyone else. don’t tell them, okay?” heeseung gave a small smile at your gesture, “thank you.” you turned to leave him to his devices, only to turn around a second later as you handed him something smaller. 

“heat pack. the temperature is falling, and...i don’t want you falling sick.” you leaned over to ruffle his hair playfully, before walking away to announce that you had gotten snacks. heeseung’s smile only grew wider at the special treatment he got from you and you alone.

holland lop bunny hybrid 

likes: when you brush his floppy ears with a soft brush, cold drinks with ice to munch on 

dislikes: sudden movements or noises  

habits: twitching of his nose when happy, his ears flop down when there are loud sounds 

sunghoon inched closer to you, bit by bit. “sunghoon?” He was graced with your smile and he held out the hairdryer shyly. “can you dry my hair?” it was a unique way sunghoon bonded with you. he didn’t particularly enjoy loud sounds as he has sensitive hearing, but you made the process way better. at least he got to enjoy headpats in exchange for dealing with the irritatingly noisy device. 

sitting cross-legged in front of you, he stilled himself as you gently let him know that you’ll be starting to dry his hair. sunghoon appreciated these moments with you, when you blow-dried his hair, combing his floppy ears with that soft brush reserved for only him. 

soft “you’re doing great!” and “it’s almost done” coming from you eased his twitches and when you were finally done, he sighed in relief, but didn’t move away. you chuckled at his antics and continued to brush his now dry hair, lulling him to relax.

likes: back rubs especially when you rub his lower back, warm places

dislikes: windy weather, the sound of the vacuum cleaner 

habits: acts like he doesn’t want your attention but seeks after you all the time (aka an easily jealous kitty), will sit beside the heater 

“jay. you’ve been sulking.” jay huffed and shifts away, sitting on the opposite end of the couch. “he’s just jealous that i’ve been hoarding you since this morning.” jake teased in the background and jay heard you shoo him away. “come here you big kitten.” jay immediately spins around and crashes into your embrace, earning a big “oof” from you. 

languidly, you ran your hand from the base of his neck to his lower back, causing jay to purr contently in your arms. “so you were being jealous.” you attempted to coax an answer from him. 

“jake steals you away from me.” he hides his face into your smaller frame, “and i want you to myself.” “silly kitty. you know the both of you are equally important. i’ll give you extra cuddles tonight.”

golden retriever hybrid 

likes: belly rubs, playing/ doing physical activity with you 

dislikes: getting bruises (oddly)

habits: will hoard you the most by simply laying down on you, actually licks you for attention (just once, but it was a hair-raising experience) 

“you promised we were going to play beach volleyball!” “no...I’m tired.” Jake pouts as you writhe in his grasp, trying to get back under the covers. You sighed, slinging one arm across your face, “I can see you pouting Jake. It’s not going to work.” Jake grinned, for you had completely saw through him despite not having opened your eyes. 

“today is the weekends! i want to play ball with you.” jake reminded once again, shaking you and you placed a palm on his cheek. “jakey, why don’t we just lie down and—AHHHH!” jake hadn’t registered what he quite did (that was a lie), but he was pretty sure he had just licked your palm. you stared back at him incredulously and he cheekily grinned, “you look awake. shall we go?” 

you huffed, “no. let’s lie down~~” you trapped him with your legs and he gives in, knowing that you weren’t going to budge any time soon. much convincing and lying down later, jake and you were both fast asleep.

desert fox hybrid 

likes: sweet foods, scented candles (basically anything that smells good)

dislikes: crowds

habits: very cheeky around you, does aegyo to get out of any situation (actually make that all situations) 

“you okay?” sunoo clung onto you tighter before giving an affirmative nod. “don’t let go of me.” you emphasized and sunoo nodded once more. the crowd was beginning to increase and both of you were somehow caught in the sudden influx of haggling shoppers while getting groceries. it was funny, really: sunoo was bigger and taller than you, yet he was cowering at the mere sight of packed places. 

he leaned into your side, inhaling your familiar scent, feeling slightly at ease. you lead the way, hands gripping tightly onto his bigger ones. finally out of the crowd, he let out a sigh of relief. 

you watched him as he took a few more deep breaths and he feels bad that he made you worry. “i should have stayed home. i’m so useless-”

sunoo usually skipped out on grocery shopping days, but he wanted to walk with you, so that thought overrode the scary crowds.  

“dont’! don’t say it. you are nothing like that. you were doing great, it was just really crowded today.” 

you gave him another hug and smiled widely. “since you’re out with me, let’s treat you to something nice, hmm? how about that! let’s go eat it~” sunoo looked at where you were pointing and nodded. you tugged him along and his guilt lifted at how easily you comforted him.

likes: potted plants, basking in the sunlight, nuzzling his nose with yours

dislikes: bugs

habits: curls up at your feet, gets distracted fairly easily

it was just a lazy afternoon when jungwon saw you dozing off at the lounge chair by the balcony, phone long forgotten. jungwon’s tail excitedly swished back and forth as he approached you. gently maneuvering himself, he adjusted you so you were lying in the shade while he could bask in the sun (and also so you weren’t affected by it.)

“jungwon?” “go back to taking your cat nap.” you mumbled something unintelligent and closed your eyes. jungwon propped himself up so that his body covered most of the sunlight, while his tail curled protectively around your waist. 

“rest well.”

cheetah hybrid 

likes: eating, when you scratch behind his ears, when you tend to him

dislikes: waking up

habits: can be quite clumsy at times, yet crazily agile if he wanted to 

“OW!” niki exclaimed, hands flying to his shin. “w-what happened?” niki cast his eyes to you who were hovering worriedly by the door way. “i knocked my shin against the end of the bed.” how niki managed to do that beats him. he was still clutching his shin and one side of your lips quirked up, “you scared me for nothing.” you padded over to him and pulled out a first aid kit from the bottom of his bed. 

niki stifled a yawn (sleep hasn’t quite left his system) as you produced the medicated balm, rolling up his sweatpants so you could apply it to the already bruising skin. “you’re always getting into tiny accidents like this. how are you going to live without me?” you leaned forwards to press a chaste kiss on his forehead and he quipped back, “that’s why I’m living with you. you’re the best!”

it wasn’t a “little” thing per se,, 

you usually let your gaze linger on him, not taking your eyes off him 

at first, yeosang found it weird that you were constantly looking at him

but when you had explained (all while blushing) that it made you feel better that he was safe right in front of you, yeosang had realized that this too was a form of affection 

sometimes the two of you would just sit in silence, appreciating the other or even be chatting

now he plays along with you and stares back at you 

『 s a n 』 

knowing that his favourite stuffed toy is Shiber and will forever be Shiber, you used that to your advantage: leaving post-its on the toy’s body where he would notice it first 

and the post-it contents? VERY personalized: they range from “have a good day <3 left some kimchi fried rice in the microwave!” to “DO THE LAUNDRY PLEASE!!!” 

because of your differing schedules there weren’t much time to physically meet up and sometimes San didn’t read text hence this old school method 

you don’t know it, but San labels the different post-its and keep them

especially when walking in groups, you’d always look out for him 

while he wasn’t a slow person in general, he tends to not walk at a face pace (just so he could match yours but no one needed to know) 

you’d always look over your shoulder to make sure that wooyoung was RIGHT beside you and if he wasn’t you’d either move to him or drag him to you 

“where’s woo? there you are, you’re not beside me!”

finds it cute when you look around for him like a lost puppy

for his case, you were to type to made sure he had the first bite before you did 

at first, jongho didn’t notice this little trait of yours, thinking you had wanted the food to cool down so you won’t burn your tongue

but he caught on when you did the same for cold food items too, watching him have the first bite before you dug into your food 

“do you want the first bite…?” “not until you have yours first!” 

would give him your food for a bite before you ate
