I had a D&D buddy who had an interesting solution to "unlucky" dice. He would line several die on his dad's workbench, and put the offending dice into a vice. He would then crush the unlucky dice into powder, while explaining to the others why he was destroying that one. it seemed to work, as he rarely had bad streaks of rolls.
