Look, if you wanna make a difference just vote for Jill Stein.

If the Green Party gets just 5% of the vote then they get federal funding and more ballot access. So even if Jill Stein doesn’t win you can still make a difference in ending a never ending war between two corrupt Parties.

And also I believe that Jill Stein CAN WIN because she is what most liberals want the Democratic Party to be and I know that people genuinely want hope, and to them I say trust in Gill Stein.

I am already seeing y'all fucking make excuses not to vote if Kamala Harris is nominated so let's clear shit up real quick:

Number one: Harris has a harsher tone on Israel, and has demonstrated more willingness than Biden to push for the halt of all offensive weaponry aid to Israel if they continue their no-holds-barred assault on Palestine, and has been far more critical of their blocking of humanitarian aid. She also states support for a two party solution, but you will be hard fucking pressed to find any major candidate willing to say they want to help abolish Israel outright to the general public. While Biden has closer ties with Israel, Harris has more personal leanings on American progressives than anything else, and is far more likely to listen to criticism on the subject of Palestine. She demonstrates better diplomacy toward even countries we are not currently allied with and is in general, more likely to push for humanitarian change, she's objectively the best bet for both winning the election and getting reform on the Israeli bombardment of Palestine.

Number two: Harris is not fucking transphobic. The actions of the state attorney general office and state of California corrections, to deny transgender inmates gender reassignment surgery, was not her personal choice, she was a lawyer requires to do her job as a lawyer, she was not involved in writing the original briefing that used transphobic language or minimized the necessity of gender affirming care to inmates, in fact her involvement at later stages is part of what removed a lot of the repugnancy of the arguments and she was personally delighted when the settlement led to the state considering providing gender affirming surgery to inmates who are recommended for it. Similar is true of other stories like this as well. In general she's been a strong ally to the LGBTQ+ community, especially the T, she's responsible for making "trans panic" a non viable defense for the murder and assault of trans people in the state of California, helped toss a bathroom bill, created an act to hold law enforcement responsible for harassment and negligence toward trans individuals, and was a key player in altering title IX to include protections against discrimination for Gender Identity. Any attempts to paint her as having mixed or bad policy toward trans people is actively an attempt to dissuade you from voting for her, and should be analyzed incredibly critically.

In the end, in the finale analysis…

What Carol and the end of the world is actually about is finding what makes you happy.

An office job is the stereotypical epitome of a boring, soul sucking job that nobody likes.

But she likes it. Carol against all odds finds it comforting and nice because even though it doesn’t matter since the world is ending, it makes Carol happy to do something mundane and stable in a time where everything is overwhelming.

When we think about what makes a person happy it’s often characterized as something happening to you that MAKES you happy, kinda like a happily ever after as in its a big event that you can attain. But happiness is an emotion that comes and goes and is something we have to build through each other and ourselves

Carol and the end of the world shows that you don’t need to attain any great thing or achievement to be happy. Instead it shows that what can make you feel happy can be dumb or boring and that’s ok, that happiness can come from anywhere and that we need happiness in order to grow and build relationships or make necessary changes.

Happiness cultivate growth, and it’s needed if we want to get out of this capitalistic hell scape. People need to know that they deserve to be happy.

isn’t selfish to want to be happy and I think you should watch a show before you criticize it.

I didn't finish Carol vs The World because it lost me with how we never get to see Carol question why she finds comfort in a deeply pointless job or address what that means. I wanted to like the show because it has a middle aged cast of characters that look realistically ordinary too.

I watched like 3 episodes and then went and read the synopsis of the other episodes, watched a video summarizing the season and read reviews.

I really liked the character and background design, the characters themselves are okay, but I can't get past the world building or the weird takeaway it has.

I can't say this any other way: I think the creators of this show can't imagine how people would exist outside of capitalism. Characters have two choices: to live the rest of their life in an individualistic hedonistic way, or to continue with their boring jobs. This is not different at all from how people in capitalism live. It makes me feel like the writers think people do these boring jobs because they find comfort in them, or that they don't know what they want from life, and they need a "distraction" from that. (I can imagine that there are people who are content with doing a job like this, but not for these reasons) I feel like writers often use this trope condescendingly. People don't do boring office jobs because they lack motivation and fantasy, it's because they need money to live and most jobs suck.

I think Carol's problem is not that she is a simple person who doesn't want much, but that she is lonely. And the show does say that in the end it's the bond between people that is important, and to enjoy everyday little moments, but if instead of idk, Carol talking to her neighbors they make a point out of showing that these characters enjoy doing pointless work for a faceless corporation. If the job supposed to symbolize a simpler life, well. i don't like that

there could have been some kind of critique of society here! but instead the show goes "if you are depressed and you don't find fulfillment in superficial hedonism that you are told you should enjoy, the alternative is that you can do pointless tasks while becoming friends with your coworkers :)" like what. sure i'll happily slave away my life for a corporation, not even knowing why, and i'll be happy about it. I don't think the idea that work could be fulfilling, for example that they could be doing something for other people's comfort or happiness ever comes up. most characters including Carol act selfishly. why did she fail to find friends up until the point of working in that office. i think this show is fake deep. sorry for the rant I just feel like there is wasted potential here

I feel like a lot of people don’t get Miki or are very uncharitable.

So first I’ll say what I think other people think, and then I’ll say why I disagree with that lol.

So I see a lot of people see Miki as some sort of puritan

To me, I’d say Miki has more of an OCD thing going on but that he doesn’t hold others to the standard he sets for himself. the only person he judges is his sister but that’s because she acts out specifically for his attention.

The way I see Miki in the show doesn’t believe in himself and feels like he needs other people to be enough.

I think Miki and Kozue have a parallel dinamica when it comes to their parents divorce and how they act out, Miki blames himself and Kozue blames the world/her parents.

Miki’s problem is that he feels like he needs other people to be enough, (though he is distrustful of adults which is interesting.)

And Kozue’s problem is she feels like she doesn’t need anyone.

But yeah TL;DR Miki’s problem is he thinks Anthy will make him whole and not that he’s judgmental.

But also I like hearing what people think so feel free to add what you think.
