hi, Its the same anon as the pearl with the bleach story.

I just wanted to say, in the eclipse au, are you gonna end up doing something related to the life series on it, or because of Not Dog is it taken? Sorry I will not lie, I saw farlander pearl and the little adhd guy in my head said "this is our hyperfixation now". And that made me galaxy brain a bit with "is there something with pearl being a farlander that made her be abandoned like that?" and "what's the relationship between farlanders and the watchers?". If your not gonna do double life, do you mind answering those two questions?

Hello new friend! Thanks for the compliments:D

1. In Eclipse specifically, I won't do anything related to the life series. However, Eclipse is just 1 story in an entire AU called Eclipsed Reality, and there most likely will be something related to the games. Not Dog is a separate universe/continuity as well.

2. Pearl, being a Farlander, has the unfortunate side effect of being a species hated by almost all "Outsiders" (people outside the Farlands). So she does feel alone in some cases

3. Watchers and Farlanders... have a BAD relationship. Watchers (and Listeners and Speakers) are angels in my au. And in my AU, anything considered as a "Pure" being is an enemy of the Farlanders, who are called "Tainted" due to a major event between the Saint Pearl and the Pure God's. So due to that, the relationship is mostly violent

Hi, It's swan anon again. sorry about the eclipse being confused with eclipsed reality. you can't check accuracy of what your typing when your writing an ask and so I was pulling the au names from memory and my brain said "this au is eclipse" instead of eclipsed reality. Also now that you've said that farlanders and watchers have a BAD relationship, I am now wondering why the heck pearl is in the life series because in the life series lore (I'm talking about the lore martyn has for it) the life series is just basically like the Colosseum, but the spectators get food for it. So why the heck is pearl in there considering the watchers probably can't get food from her?

Oh no this is turning into less of a rabbit hole that I can get out of and more of an alice in wonderland...

Oh its fine swan! no hard feeling

The answer is simple

There many ways a Farlander can be born. And one way is via chaos, and the Watchers made a farm for it.

Basically the Red Madness that the Watchers use for the Players, birthed something... Pearl.

The Life Pearls are born from the madness, and Watchers want the red for entertainment, however the Pearls are an unforuante side effect.

farlander pearl idea:

at some point, one of the soup group members managed to get their hands on some bleach (which is already hard enough, cuz it's education edition only) now you said at some point farlanders can drink bleach for whatever reason, so I give you this(also parenthesis are notes from me) :

One of the soup group members: so I managed to get some bleach today * holds up bottle *

Pearl: ooohh * grabs bottle and opens it *

(i'm just gonna say it's impulse for simplicity, plus I keep hearing impulse in my head) Impulse, suspiciously: whatcha doing there Pearl

Pearl: * pouring into cap * being australian * procceds to drink it out of the cap while glaring at impulse *

(the glare was purely for the bit)

Impulse: wh-wha-WHAT!

(please note I was gonna put a question mark but the key won't work)

pearl: *tosses bottle at impulse, then walks off*

(this happened on the bridge btw)

Hmm

Yep Canon.

While this is based on some old information it still works honestly.

Canon. Pearl is the cleaning lady so she gets access to bleach

i think my favorite thing about Pearl is the way her arcs always come back to simplicity. over and over she rejects glory in favor of just living her life. she ends HC8 by losing everything she has, diving into the void with nothing but her friends to accompany her. in Empires her kingdom was defined by farming - the very symbol of a peaceful life. in HC9's Empires crossover she actively rejects being referred to as Santa Perla, saying how absurd it would be for her, a simple cleaning lady, to be a god. even when she does remember, she doesnt make a scene out of it. theres no dramatic shouting to the room or swearing vengeance for her kingdom having been burnt - the only outward sign she gives of her memory returning is her telling Sausage, a soft word to an old friend from across the room. then she goes right back to her simple job keeping the server clean. and then there's Decked Out - she doesn't win, and she doesn't get any recognition in the final day ceremony except for a brief sentence, but she's okay with that - because she knows, and the Dungeon knows, and Tango knows, that she's the one who really understood the Dungeon. in Double Life, her entire motivation is to not be lonely - something she only manages at the very end, when she, Cleo, Martyn, and Scott are a real team, and she ends her season with the act of forgiveness as her final words. in Limited Life and Secret Life, she states outright that she doesn't want to win - she makes her goal to have good friends and to get one of them to win. over and over and over again all Pearl wants is a nice life and a few friends to share it with.
