As minor as it may seem I’m so glad that mappa is taking their time with showing these quiet moments of domesticity in csm because that’s really why I love the series so much, the characters feel so human and a large part of that is seeing their mundane daily lives in contrast with the chaos of being devil hunters. Like hell yeah, show me Aki’s morning routine and the way he measures out his laundry detergent. Show me the Hayakawa family all eating dinner together. That’s what I wanna see babeyyyy

I think the one thing that kills me about X Readers is when it states it's an x reader in the title, so I automatically assume it's gender neutral. Cuz I am trans (ftm), that's what I perceive.

But what sucks is that when it doesn't state female, GN, male, or even trans man/female and then I see mentions of a bra and a pussy, then I feel like the cis female gender norm is being pushed onto me. And for me I try desperately to follow the Male Reader tags along with other x reader tags based off fandoms I'm in, but every damn time, bam! Female reader is the one that pops up.

Am I openly venting about this? Yes. Because the state of fanfics is disappointing when they all center primarily around a female reader and the amount of them is staggering.

If Denji were a girl and Makima and Himeno were men, no one would even hesitate to say how fucked up their scenes together are. There would be no “but he wanted it!!!” Justifications. But Denji being a guy doesn’t make it any different. Makima and Himeno being women doesn’t make it any different.

Denji is a kid being taken advantage of by adults, no matter what gender the abuser and victim are.
