Rick should have made Calypso and Leo break up, and not just because Calypso is ableist and this is a children's book, but because it would make sense. Calypso wasn't fated to like the random men who showed up on the island solely because of the curse, but she was also mentally- and physically isolated. It's a desperate kind of love, she needed someone, a companion, someone to help her. It would be great if they learned together about this. "I will learn to be happy by myself, you should do the same, so who knows we could be happy together"
