No matter how many times I’ve introduced myself in class…It never fails to make me anxious.

I start going over so many possible answers in my head that sound relatively put together but when it comes down to actually saying it out loud, I can’t and I say something off-script that makes me panic internally. My insides are twisting, mouth is dry, I’m shaking and I’m just trying to be calm but somehow it’s over and people aren’t seemingly judging me. Although that’s my anxiety talking.

I know generally people wouldn’t judge me for being a complete mess because so many others before me say they also have anxiety. But my mind still does this weird thing that makes me want to curl inwards myself and just be alone.

I hate feeling like this. Why can’t I just confidently introduce myself without all of this trouble? I’m the only one that’s replaying that moment over and over and I know that’s not productive. I’m trying so hard to reprogram my mind into thinking my anxiety is just excitement but that rarely works to put me at ease. I’m just so tense but hopefully it gets better later on🤧
