More S5 AU: Liz gets to meet Torren

The door chimed. Surprised, Elizabeth set the box down and went to answer it, revealing two visitors: one familiar and one not-so-familiar. “Teyla! Come in!” The Athosian woman entered with a smile. “Forgive me for interrupting. I know you are busy unpacking. But if you have a moment to spare, there is someone–“ She grinned at the baby in her arms. “-who I would like you to meet.” Elizabeth sent her a questioning glance. Was she sure about this? Even though Elizabeth had been cleared by the joint verdicts of both Doctor Keller and Carson, even though she wasn’t considered an active threat, she wouldn’t have blamed Teyla for being wary with her son.   “Elizabeth, this is Torren.” Elizabeth laughed through a throat tight with emotion as the baby waved his arm in her direction, almost as if he knew he were being introduced. Reflexively, she reached out and took hold of the tiny fist. “Hello, Torren. It’s nice to finally get to meet you. I’ve heard so much about you.”

Random thoughts about our boy in Entity

Okay, so Entity is another episode that I have watched countless times already. I couldn't sleep, so I watched it again. There's a thing that I haven't noticed before, and now I can't unhear it. At the end, Daniel tries to convince Jack that the entity actually saved Sam, and Jacks says "Why? Why would it do that?"

I swear that I went back like 20 times just to hear it again, because you know...who doesn't feel like crushing their soul 20 times in a row sometimes?

So Jack asks that in such a heartbreaking tone that it makes me wanna hug him and cry with him. Because it's that voice someone has when they try to hold back not just tears, but an actual breakdown. His voice actually cracks. At first I thought "well duh, captain obvious, what would you do if you thought you just killed the love of your life?" But then I realised, that it's a big thing, because it's Jack O'Neill we are talking about. The man who tries so hard to keep his emotions in check. The man who does everything to make everyone believe that he is fine and he is not dying inside (see the second part of season 7 and the entirety of season 8..you know what I mean). He rarely lets his guard down like this. And I don't think it's only because of what he has done.

Daniel is presenting a theory that gives him hope. Hopeful is the last thing he wants to be because he knows that almost never works for him. But he can't help it because it's Sam.

He is on the brink of an emotional breakdown because he doesn't know what to think, what to feel anymore that wouldn't crush him even more later. The soldier and the man in love are in a constant battle, but in the end, the soldier always wins. He is better at it, after all.

This all might be blatantly obvious in the end, but I think it's nice to get these little reminders that what these two have is real, and everyone involved in this fantastic show did everything they could to show us.
