If sesshomaru could've saved kagura with his sword how would this affect kagura existing again without naraku?
Me personally. It could go either way. She could stay a demon or lose her demon side with narakus death. Either way she would be complete with no strings attached to her life. By the end of the show I don't see Kagura being a evil demon. Her growth was enough to see the world a bit different and a bit of trust in humans. I could see her being a powerful demon though.
For the 10th anniversary of Inuyasha, in the magazine "Weekly Shonen Sunday No 50" of 2006, Rumiko Takahashi herself selected her top 10 favorite scenes from the manga and, among the 10 scenes, there is also Kagura's death and in the comment she mentions Sesshomaru! š„°š„°š„°
The image that was chosen to represent this scene is the moment in which Sesshomaru appears in front of Kagura.

How many things they (you know who...) said about this scene... they said it's forced, exaggerated, overplayed, fanservice, Sesshomaru wasn't supposed to be there etc. etc. š The TRUTH is that this scene is one of her favourites!!! š¤š¤š¤ Because she loves Kagura, first of all, but also she likes how she made this scene, including Sesshomaru being there!
@moonandwind exactly Rin and Kohaku would've had to best growth into a relationship. They always worried about each other. Even Rin openly worried about Kohaku. And they relate to each other. Imagine Rin and Kohaku, who both lost their families tragically, come together and rebuild the family they lost.
And you so right that's literally all she is. They did her so wrong.
***now I wanna draw a KohRin art**
Why donāt more people ship Kohaku and Rin??? Iāve always found this ship very cute.
Some SessRinners say that Rin deserves ābetterā than Kohakuā¦ I donāt know what theyāre referring to, when they say that she deserves ābetterā, because if for them the most important thing is the physical aspect, surely Sesshomaru is more handsome than Kohaku but if they consider the character and personality, Sesshomaru is absolutely NOT better than Kohaku!!! We see in the manga and anime that Kohaku always acted kind to Rin, except when he was under Narakuās control, and if she was in danger, he always protected her.

Here you can see Kohaku shielding with his body to protect Rin.Ā

So I donāt know what they rely on to say that Sesshomaru is a better husband for Rin, Iām convinced for example that Kohaku wouldnāt have ignored her without saying a word as soon as she gave birth like Sesshomaru did. I have the feeling that Sesshomaruās good looks prevent them to see his flawsā¦
Rin also seems to have a genuine affection towards Kohaku.

So I donāt understand why many didnāt see this ship, of two children on good terms almost the same age, much more logicalā¦

ā¦instead of this one when they watched Inuyashaā¦

They even say that they see Kohaku as a brother for Rinā¦ okay, but yāall have to tell me why Kohaku can be considered as a family for Rin while Sesshomaru not!!! š
But anyway, certainly everyone has their own preferences, but the objective fact is that KohaRin as a couple would have been much more morally correct to show in an anime also watched by kids, instead of showing a 12-year-old girl being courted by her guardian who is waiting for her to āgrow upā.
Do you think kagura would've still existed in yashahime without naraku?
Yes, I believe she could've. It's so many creative ways that she could've been revived. Especially since they dipped into time traveling in yashahime.
