“owwww!” denki sat up with a pout, grumpily rubbing at his head. it wasn’t like he could blame ashido for his failure to avoid her judo flip again... but he could direct that pout up at her anyway. “you really try to take all the fun out of scaring you, you know?”

Katsuki mourns the days where some idiot or another banging on his door was still surprising. How had he gotten stuck in the middle of a group of dumbasses who wouldn’t leave him alone? He has better things to do than deal with problems they brought on themselves!

He huffs and yanks open his door, levelling a glare at a very distressed looking Kaminari. “I finished the homework days ago, cause I’m not a damn idiot who leaves it all to the last minute! What the hell’s your excuse this time?” He knows there isn’t a justifiable one. “You really think you can come over here and bribe me with shit I don’t need so I’ll spend all night forcing math lessons into your thick skull?”

The grumpy tone doesn’t do much to deter Denki, he’s well used to that when it comes to Bakugou. He doesn’t really start getting nervous until sparks or small explosions start flying. But still, he does pout at his friend, it’s not his fault that he can’t focus. Or at least it’s sometimes not his fault.

“Come on, man! You’re way better at math than I am..” Denki didn’t really want to give Bakugou his excuse for not having done it yet, because it definitely wasn’t a good one. He’d looked at it the day after they’d gotten it, but it had looked like gibberish and that had immediately killed his motivation. “Well... I played video games yesterday.. because I figured I would focus today because I’d have to.. Please Bakugou, what do you want to be bribed with??”

Shoto’s mouth is already opening to tell Izuku that he can handle this by himself before he realizes that Izuku likely hadn’t meant to imply that he couldn’t. He was simply offering what he always had: unfettered support. So Shoto closed his mouth and gave a curt nod instead. He was sure that support wasn’t one of those things that should be difficult to accept, though the idea still felt unfamiliar to him. Maybe it was something he’d get used to, like having a group of friends. He’d do the same for any of them, so he supposed it was only fair that he let them reciprocate that support.

“Thank you, Izuku.”
