While this doesn’t have explicitly queer characters, it does tackle queer themes and narratives, and is about a class of middle-schoolers. It might be on the cusp of being too mature due to some low brow humor, it depends on whether or not it goes over the kids heads.

Can I get some suggestions for middle-grade queer books? Local middle school librarian asked for input to make the selection more inclusive (we’re in an EXTREMELY conservative area so this is honestly a big deal.) I can think of lots of YA but this is for 6th-8th grade so I’m trying to think of more without as much mature content.
