no because fuck mainstream media and fuck the blissful ignorance so many people are choosing to live in. recognize that there are people who have been suffering for years. you don’t have to carry that burden but acknowledge them like you acknowledge any other nation. because when the US goes through something, the whole world is expected to care and if you don’t talk about it, you’re immediately a POS who is racist and sexist and a list of other awful things. a majority of the people saying those things wouldn’t be able to find my country on a map.

palestine needs your attention. palestine needs your prayers. palestine needs your help. if you ignore this any longer you will live knowing you essentially ignored the ethnic cleansing of what was once a great country. do not let history repeat itself in a new form. i urge you all to look up what is happening in sheikh jarrah. all you are 100% obligated to do is simply recognize the issue and make it more public so that maybe someone with more power can step up. please.

The Israeli Vice-Mayor of Jerusalem, who was also a part of the “Death to Arabs” march that happened earlier this month, hasn’t only made fun of a Palestinian civilian limping after being shoot by an Israeli solider and telling him that it was a pity that he he didn’t get shot in the head (and he of course said that in public infront of multiple cameras, because he knows that there will be no repercussion when it comes to harming/humiliating Palestinians) but he has also tweeted a picture of a dead Palestinian teenager on the ground with the caption “that’s how I like to see them.”

I’m not going to post the tweet because it’s hard to look at, but it’s here if you want to see it. The tweet has been up for an entire day so far without being deleted, despite it violating most Twitter’s rules, meanwhile thousands of people across all social media are getting their accounts and posts deleted or hidden in just a few minutes after posting anything remotely related to the violence Palestinians are facing in Shiekh Jarrah right now.

THIS is their literal government.

This isn’t a conflict between two groups, this is a one-sided occupation, modern-colonialism and state-sponsored terrorism.

Real genuine question here without any sarcasm, are western media legally not allowed to report on any war crimes/human-rights violations done by Israelis without adding the word “clashes”?

Because last time I checked, the word “clashes” isn’t meant to describe unarmed civilians, including children and elders, being attacked by fully-armed soldiers while they’re innocently praying inside a holy site?

Just wondering why you hate Israel so much. Do you not think Israel has the right to exist?

You’re wondering why I hate a settler-colonial state that is ethnically cleansing a group of people through violence and a racist legal system? Would you like me to apologize for not being ethically/morally bankrupt? Would you like to ask me why I’m against war crimes and human right violations too?

“Does Israel have the right to exist at the cost of Palestinian lives” and the answer is NO

Israel does not have the right to ethnic cleansing, settler-colonial displacement, discriminatory legislation, human rights violations, and war crimes.
