Book Dexter & Show Dexter Meeting Headcanons

They don't exactly look the same.

Book Dexter is more so unconventionally attractive, slightly wavier, slightly longer brown hair.

Of course, the cow-lick

Show Dexter is... well... Show Dexter

They may be the same person but Book Dexter is only slightly more confident than Show Dexter, he doesn't have a problem with talking to people

only thing is he picks up on body language so easily

like

as soon as he finds out that his counterpart is uneasy and awkward he immediately tones down everything

Show Dexter doesn't notice anything

he's too nervous, too weirded out by staring at someone who is supposed to look the same and has the same name as him

when they both run into Raven, Book Dexter is the one who doesn't shy aware from her whereas Show Dexter trips over his words and gets tongue tied

truly like two peas in a pod

okay but like. imagine Taylor Swift calling an employee of hers a racial slur and an insult to their individual character as if it's their name. and then when the employee tells her that's rude and to not call them that, she laughs in their face and continues calling them that. and it's never talked about again.

THAT is why I hate Apple White. she did exactly that in her first chapter of the first book. and it was never discussed or addressed again. other times when she does other not as terrible but still bad things, people try to educate her and she doesn't care. brushes them and their thoughts off without a care. and it's almost never addressed again.

yes she is a product of the society she has grown up in, it's the willfull ignorance and brushing off that's the problem. she could grow and learn and become better. in some cases she has, like with being ableist and racist to Frankie Stein and Draculaura. She realizes her telling Frankie to keep herself together (even though Frankie has no choice in if her limbs pop off. yes she can chose to take them off but it's not always in her control if they do) and telling Draculaura to hide her teeth all because they make her uncomfortable. She realizes it was fucked up to ask them that and apologizes. but she doesn't always.

she has the ability to grow and change and become a better person on so many occasions. but 👏 she 👏 doesn't👏 more often than not.

she's not selfish, she does care about people and stories other than her own. I like her for her story around that. it's for other reasons I can and do hate her.

the urge to have a side blog with a specific theme is strong rn, but I have no clue what it would be about
