Hello People!
I'm a special education teacher for deaf kids! I was forced to go back to in-person teaching a few weeks ago in the midst of this coronavirus madness and this is the full PPE gear I have to wear every day to safely teach my kiddos. It sucks.

Next Stream!
For all of those who celebrate it, happy Christmas Eve! I am planning on doing a stream this Saturday, December 26th. And in honor of the holidays, we’ll be watching the Care Bears Nutcracker Suite! I’m having to stream it using VLC. I tested it out on Kast today and it worked. I have had problems with Kast and VLC in the past, so there’s a CHANCE it won’t work the same way on Saturday…but I’m hoping it will work just the same. Our back up option is to just watch UtM instead. But that’s not the plan, only a backup. Because I’m with my family at the moment, I will have to change the time to 9 PM EST. It’s been six days and 16 year old Karlie Lain Guse is still missing, with no new information about her disappearance or where she might be at. Last time she was seen, she was walking towards the direction of Highway 6. She has no personal belongings on her, including her phone. People in her life are adamant that this is completely unlike her and that she wouldn’t just walk away like that. I’ve seen tweets from her friends and family and they all fear for her so much. Please, let’s help them spread her face around, it might make a difference!

When Sherry Johnson was eleven, she found one day that she’s gonna marry a 20-year-old member of her church who had raped her. She became pregnant and in order to avoid investigation and criminal case, her family and church officials decided to make the girl a legal wife of this monster.
“My mom asked me if I wanted to get married, and I said, ‘I don’t know, what is marriage, how do I act like a wife?’” Johnson remembers today, many years later. “She said, ‘Well, I guess you’re just going to get married.’”
However, her case is one of thousand cases of child marriage. According to statistics, children 16 and under are still being married in Florida at a rate of one every few days.
Johnson and her family also attended a conservative Pentecostal church and that other girls of a similar age periodically also married. One girl said when she was 10 she was raped by both a minister and a parishioner and later gave birth to a daughter. There were all documents confirming her and her child’s age, but still, the judge approved the marriage to end the rape investigation, telling her, “What we want is for you to get married.”
And nevertheless, America prefers to interfere in other countries’ internal affairs, like in Syria, calling it “defending freedom” rather than to change states’ laws and to protect American children from rape, coercion and molestation.
Today, Johnson is campaigning for a state law to stop underage marriage that has already become a norm in some states.
Please, help me to raise awareness to this issue. No one can remain indifferent to the problem of child molestation.

I really need this spread around because this is becoming a serious issue:
THESE types of posts really need to stop being made or spread. I have OCD and these are a massive trigger, because I physically cannot ignore them. I thought it was just a me thing for a while but then I posted a rant on my story on Instagram and so many other people with OCD (or even without) feel the same, and on top of that they just clog peoples feeds.
And it’s not not just the ones with consequences. Even the ones with rewards trigger it, because my brain automatically fills in the consequence.
This is becoming a serious issue and it’s really been affecting mine and others mental health. I don’t know if this will get anywhere but I’m trying to spread the message in the hopes that people understand.
For those who don’t know:
Tom Ruegger is the original creator of Animaniacs. He’s the guy you have to thank for the iconic characters Yakko, Wakko, and Dot (for whom the primary inspiration was his own three sons.) Among many others, including the equally popular Pinky and the Brain. He was also an involved writer/lyricist for the show and played a huge part in coming up with new song & story ideas.
Yet despite all of this, Tom was never asked back for the 2020 reboot. In fact, he wasn’t even aware that a reboot was in production until it was announced to the public. Although Tom has expressed plenty of interest in being involved in the reboot, WB/Hulu has repeatedly turned him away.
Tom’s oldest son, Nate Ruegger (voice of Skippy Squirrel,) has spoken out about this on his twitter:
“the naked greed on display here to reboot a series without involving any of the original creative team so they can make *more* money, & then joke about it, is gross.” (x)
And he’s absolutely right. Outside of the main voice cast, none of the original team was consulted for the reboot. Tom was/is an integral part of Animaniacs. Without him, the show would never have existed, let alone become a cultural phenomenon. It doesn’t seem right for him to be cut out of the revival of a show that he is largely responsible for bringing to life in the first place.
The mistreatment and blatant disrespect of creators by big-name companies is something I’ve seen way too much of lately, and even though this is far from the first time, that doesn’t make the practice in anyway right or okay.
I’ve seen petitions for this going around, but they rarely gain enough traction, so I’m taking a more direct approach:
I’m asking fans of the series - new & old alike, regardless of your opinion on the reboot itself - to please reblog this. Or, simply spread the hashtag #BringBackTomRuegger somewhere on your social media.
So that we can let the new showrunners know that we, the fans, want to see Tom brought back for future seasons!!!
I’m not asking for a full rewrite, I just want the man who created these characters to have some say in what happens to them, as he should. Please share to show support, if you agree!
