The war has left us living in constant fear, with death chasing us everywhere, and a severe lack of resources and necessities. Our store, which we relied on to meet our needs, was also bombed. The anime adaptation is so good by the way, it lives rent-free in my mind. I highly recommend you watch it if you can cuz the comedy is done really well. Like, the manga is good, but hearing Ami's screams of pain makes it way funnier
