Sick Cat - Tumblr Posts
So, to keep this short, I'm a broke ass college student in the middle of moving and my cat is in dire need. She has a respiratory infection that could need an expensive surgery running $700, which is funds I just don't have. I'm trying to pay for everything else out of pocket but the surgery cost hurdle is the worst right now, the GoFundMe has more information but if you can't spare anything, reblogging and boosting would be the biggest help.
Please, PLEASE HELP (PET CAT IS IN TROUBLE)!
Since the beginning of spring my family's two American Curl cats, Max and Chloe, have been seriously sick. We lost Max just under a week ago, and Chloe could die in DAYS because she refuses to eat.
CATS WON'T EAT IF THEY CAN'T SMELL THEIR FOOD! It's the stupidest thing, but it's how it works. They don't default to other senses like sight.
Now, Max had already gone past his breed's life expectancy. Chloe could still have a few more years. But for over a week, she hasn't left this little cat tent unless with give her a figurative push (as in, I have to basically tip the tent sideways just to get her out). Her nose is blocked by mucus--it's even dripping out of her nostril today, and I thought we were past that because her nose looked okay a day or two ago. Guess not...
I've been trying to find info on how to feed cats that are completely missing their sense of smell and I've found NOTHING.
PLEASE! IF THERE'S ANYTHING ELSE WE CAN DO PLEASE TELL ME!
We can't lose Chloe yet, not when we just lost Max...

I'm really sorry for not making many posts as of late.
I wanted to let you guys know that my brother has caught Covid and our cat Rainbow is showing signs that she might die soon; similar signs that Fred gave us when he was struggling to move or eat, almost anything, really.. I'd like to be able to cover the cost of her future cremation and getting an urn for her as soon as possible. Any support at all is greatly appreciated 💚

**Update 1**
I noticed that Rainbow's front top-left tooth looked crooked and out-of-place, so I told my mom and she checked it out a little. So Rainbow's tooth is loose and she may need to have it surgically removed by the vet. And according to articles I've read, there will be some aftercare costs that would have to be covered too.
We don't know how much time Rainbow has left, but we can't bear to see her struggle like this. Please consider donating to help me and my mom cover all the expenses if you're able

**Update 2**
My mom and I went to the vet earlier this morning and we were recommended to go to a place that specializes in dental work and stuff for dental x-rays to check where "the tooth has broken off" as the lady at the vet said. But they're of course closed tomorrow 🫠
The dental place also covers things like bloodwork, so we'll get that checked out as soon as we can as well.
Hopefully she'll be okay in the meantime with the painkillers and antibiotics we got. The little dry patch you can kind of see in the second photo is from all the drool she's been having lately. It was especially bad today as far as I know.

**Update 3**
Rainbow has grown more weak in her back legs and is unable to clean herself after using the litterbox. It may have something to do with her teeth and she can't lick properly anymore, but my mom has to physically wipe her clean like she did with Fred when he was still alive. She hasn't been walking around much anymore either.
We tried to get in contact with a dental place, but her body seems to be failing her more with each day, so none of us know what to do. She probably doesn't have that much time left. I only hope we have enough painkillers and antibiotics so she's not hurting in her final days. Please help us keep her from suffering.
Again, any help is really appreciated or just spreading the word if you can means a lot.
