Ok what is really going on with people these days? Why do they think Misha is being bullied or abused? It's a well-known fact that Misha likes working on the SPN set, he likes his job there, he likes the people there. Why people are questioning this?

I was told to make my own post, so here it is:

I think it’s ridiculous that there are fans that opt to concoct an imagined reality where Misha is abused and sabotaged by the cast and crew. Sure, the show wastes Castiel’s potential season after season. But Misha still has a job. Misha’s an actor. 

Misha is not Castiel.

Whether or not Castiel’s doing something awesome, Misha still gets paid for bringing him to life on screen. Misha has fun at his job, he makes that pretty clear in every damn convention, and he also makes it clear that the ribbing and teasing he gets from cast/crew is not one sided. 

Just because two showrunners do not use Castiel/Misha to his full potential, just because they have at times been inconsiderate, that doesn’t mean he’s being sabotaged or bullied or abused or marginalized, or singled out to be treated poorly. 

Yes, the jokes about him are old and tired, but they’re jokes. And we know they’re jokes, because it’s obvious how adored Misha is. They make jokes about Misha/Castiel being expendable with the understanding that he’s clearly not.

Misha Collins took a three episode arc and turned it into a part that’s nine years and counting. He went from doing bit parts on shows like CSI to being (in my opinion) a minor cult icon. That’s something most working actors won’t ever get a taste of.

Fans are taking things that bum them out as fans and projecting that onto Misha because that makes a better “story”, which is a shame, because a story about a mostly unknown actor that landed a role and was able to make many lives better through that role, travel, see new things, meet new people, make lifelong friends, cross items off his bucket list because of that role… I think that’s a much better story.
