Ravens Valley, from a Storyteller.

I’m not here to teach (or educate) anything to anyone but only as a reminder about the benefits of nature which, has its own limits. Wilderness cleans our air, filters our water and provides home for human as well as for wildlife. So it is crucial for humanity, which is already to blame, to bring radical changes today before it’s entire extinction tomorrow. That is my only intention here folks. A guy from a pesticide company came for the annual prevention to vaporized the parameter of the house against harmful insects. We asked him to be careful not to vaporized around the feeding stations for birds and the guy replied: What!!! You like birds?

I found this sentence very weird. I mean, he doesn't need to particularly love birds but at least he could like them. Everybody likes birds. Right?

Anyway, not liking birds to me, is very strange.

Many birds come and go in feeding stations but when you notice that one hanging alone for several hours to one to two days, then you know that something's wrong. Particularly when this one is overweight which means that he's less active.

You can also observe that his heart is beating faster and that he seems not to care anymore about what is happening around him.

It only means one thing; our friend here is old and about to let go of his life. A similar situation happened last year and the bird was found later laying dead far under our terrace. We buried him later that day.

Most wildlife being know when the end is near and what they do is retire themselves in a secluded area and wait for the moment to come. It is sad because none on Earth (humans or animals) should be left alone for the departure of life.

There's nothing to do except to enjoy their presence while they are here with us.

#MourningDove

Just caught a Mourning Dove under the morning rain washing up herself. I was a little bit surprised because from my knowledge, Doves are extremely lazy. They even build their nests from only a simple platform of branches from which we can see the eggs through it. They are so poorly built that it's not rare to see an egg fall down from it. And that same nest will also be used a second time during the same year.

But the work is still done and it does the job, because the population of Mourning Doves are increasing so fast that they are classified has the most widespread birds in the Northern Hemisphere.
