you might have a take on this:
when describing images on Tumblr, is it better for the description to be in the alt text or in the body of the post? or both?
I can't speak for everyone but I personally don't mind where the alt text is as much as I mind it existing heh. We were talking about this on the r/blind Discord awhile back and that seems to be how everyone feels. As long as it's somewhere nearby we're happy about it. And I would say as long as it's placed so that the blind person can read it before any discussion text about the image. A lot of sites stupidly put word limits on alt text and that's certainly a factor.
tl,dr: As far as I know it doesn't matter, just have the description before your discussion about the image. It kinda sucks to read a whole discussion about a thing with zero context and then there's a descriptive "read more" tacked on at the end. That shit be frustrating like you wouldn't believe.
