We were expecting an extra $1000 this month to help fix things around the house (shower is broken, upstairs window is jammed, back fence has fallen down and the dogs keep getting out, and, oh yeah the rats) but instead we got an extra $0.
There are three people and three dogs in the house (and again like 50,000 rats) and everyone except the puppy is disabled. Dad and Seb get SSI but I don't yet, which means we can eat and have power but if one of the rats sneezes and the rotten floor in the downstairs shower falls in, we have no safety net.

I’m blind, literally. I fired my first gun at age six when my very responsible father put a pistol in my hands and pointed me toward some empty beer cans on a fence. I’ve since fired a rifle at a shooting range and been temporarily deafened by a .44 (I got that paper target in the heart somehow). If I wanted, I could ask any of my cousins or sister or mother if I could shoot one of their guns any time. I feel like this says a lot about America.
