time out - r.c

sometimes lamb!reader gets a little too tweaking out, even for rafe. so he has to take more unique measures to call you down.

rafe thought he was neurotic, but he quickly found out he has nothing on you. a storm, a stomachache, or a plain bad day was enough to send you into hysterics--hyperventilating and clutching your cross necklace while you rambled soft prayers to yourself.

it was so bad, sometimes rafe would hear you muttering to yourself in your sleep.. he thought it was useless, if god was out there he wasn't gonna heal your leg cramp while people were dying and starving, there was much bigger problems out there. so rafe figured it was up to him to take up the mantle, god wasnt here and he was the closest you were getting.

you were up again, pitter pattering around the room as you worked yourself into a frenzy.

"thought i told you to quit it? i got work to do and i can't get shit done with all this fuckin noise." he rubbed his temples in irritation, eyes flashing as you continued pacing.

"but-but i've been feeling anxious today and i just need to ask god to ease my worries-"

"how's that workin out for you?" rafe rudely cuts you you off, and you finally stop pacing.

"um--it hasn't."

he finally steps into the room, looming over you until you felt small and worthless below him, "then i think it's time to go in the time out room."

the time out room used to be sarahs, but rafe gutted it. any and everything that belonged to his sister was burned or buried so you could move in, and what was originally your sleeping area became the 'time out' room.

tucked into the corner, diagonal from your bed was a large cage, filled with pillows and blankets so you'd be comfortable, but still not quite tall enough for you to sit up.

you whimpered, looking back at him with pleading eyes, "do i have to go in?"

rafe doesn't say anything at first, he just pushes you forward until you fall to your knees, firmly kicking you in the ass until you began to crawl forward, "now you're getting extra time for talking back."

"but-"

"hey! be fuckin lucky i don't leave you here all night again, give me the phone." reluctantly he passes it to you, before slipping a pink 3ds between the bars, "relax okay? faster i get done, the faster you get the fuck outta here. now give me a kiss."

you sobbed softly, pressing your face against the cold metal as your pursed your lips, letting rafe give you a firm kiss, before he covered the cage with the blanket, and shut the lights off as he left.

hopefully he won't forget you in there tonight.
