Spoilers: Say what you want about Rafe and Sofia as a build up, but I love how utterly committed he is in episode five and we get to see how he would be with a girlfriend. He shuts down that creepy older woman, reminding her that he is spoken for and making moves on him is not gonna sit well with him....... and when talking with Sofia, he is the one investing all of HIS money, yet he says ''It can be for you and me. For us. It's for our future'' . You know that based on the conversation they have, that he does not know how she feels about him and he is nervous, which means he took the first step. I always knew that no matter how good or bad the writing would be, that he would be loyal as fuck ðŸ˜
✨I adore Sofia as a character. Don’t get me wrong. I love bitchy characters like Maddie from Euphoria or Blair from Gossip girl. But I would never want Rafe with a girl like that because I care for him as a fictional character who wants good things for him. It would make for good drama on the screen but it would just be added stress to his life. I love that Sofia is a calming force and an anchor to him, while not being a pushover. Obviously she does not storm in when he talks about her, but many of us, myself included who might have been there, knows that sometimes it hurts to much. Other times we put them in their place, this just was not one of them. I actually dated a Rafe for many years, unstable and full of anger. Just because you don't let them have it once or so, does not make you weak or a doormat who can't stick up for yourself.
She clearly let's him known when she feels like he has done something wrong, but does so in a mature manner, which is what he needs. How many times has not Sarah and Ward shamed and screamed at him? That is not healthy at all. But Sofia is in the best way possible. She is kind but she does not go with the flow or is too soft on him. She looked real disturbed at the beach for instance, she was not laughing and trying to fit in to please the Kooks around her while they bullied the pouges. ✨
✨NAUGHTY RAFE CAMERON SHOWER THOUGHTS THIS SEASON ✨ : I am loving the change in Rafe this season. We have seen him explosive, murderous, full of rage and it was giving boyish. But this mature grown version? It is so much scarier and sexier to me. Let's just ignore the freak out he had a the party. But otherwise? His calm presences just demands respect. His straight face? His nonchalant expression? It is almost like he is bored and over the violence, because he knows he wins with ease and finds it tedious. It’s mesmerizing. He wants to be better and is done with that, but you still can see the challenge in his eyes and in his polite smile that just exudes, ’’Don’t wrong me. I’m still in here’’. We know what he is capable of and the fact that he is so controlled now makes him soooooo sexyyyyyyy. I'm dripping 💦💦💦ðŸ˜
