the way that charles seems to be walking on air, schoolgirl-level giddy in the scenes after edwin’s confession instead of awkward or distant. the way he seems soooooo satisfied after all these bouts of jealousy over other guys edwin’s been entangled with because out of all those options he’s the one edwin chose. the way he responds ‘it didn’t’ without needing to think about it for a single second when edwin expresses his fear that he’s made him uncomfortable by confessing. the way he’s flirting with him by the end of the finale, teasing about how charming his smile is to the guy who he knows very well has been charmed by him. charles rowland you are not subtle

there is just something about the difference between edwin's love interests and having the cat king's reaction to edwin in hell being "i'll be waiting when he gets back" vs charles "no version of this where i don't come get you" rowland convincing a powerful trans-dimensional being to open a door to hell just so he could get him back

Since ghosts can adjust their physical appearances in DBD, could a trans person assume the body that feels most comfortable for them?

I’m imagining someone who’s never been able to be themself passing away but feeling like they never lived. But now, they can will the body to be what they want it to be. They can present however they want, and don’t have to worry about hormones cause those don’t exist for them anymore. Breast tissue can be there or not, and that state can change as well based on how the character feels.

Would love to see Edwin, Charles, Crystal, Niko, Jenny, the Night Nurse, and everyone else get to meet someone trans/nonbinary and awesome. I’m sure Tragic Mick would have some useful magic tricks to help them out, and maybe he’d enjoy getting to talk to a person who knows how it feels to be seen as something you’re not.
