Hi my oc has a knot in the back of his head. Literally. hoho 

It’s actually in his mask and there’s usually something over it other than hair to protect it because its important. The knot keeps all of his forged parts (the metallic bone looking parts of questionable origin) anchored to him so that he doesn't cough water everywhere when the portal in his blood tries to open. Wait what

I didn’t post this for awhile because the knot/rope magic is a facet of my convoluted magic system that makes the least sense in relation to everything else. But magical sailor knots fit the ocean theme so I will try to make it work...somehow.

Also, when in doubt about designing a face/mask: add more teeth. secret teeth. He makes those under the mask when he’s stressed. It’s fine and definitely perfectly normal
