That’s rough, buddy.  Usually form instability and fractaling only occurs when a kharian’s forging is unlocked; usually by their handler in an emergency that requires a monster to devastate something. Unlocking causes masks and other places where the forging is normally grafted to the body to loosen. When it is bad enough, the metal of the forging may gain organic properties. This means it might become malleable, grow teeth, and maybe even start to breathe.
