Interesting how Torchwood seems to be one of those shows to get hyperfixated on. Like at peak interest I don't just enjoy it, I can't think about anything else.

I wonder if it's because; for me at least, the first episode is about our viewpoint character, Gwen, basically getting a hyperfixated on Torchwood.

All those scenes where other characters are talking to her, and she's just zoned out, obviously thinking "Torchwood, Torchwood, Torchwood." And all she wants to talk about is "Torchwood, Torchwood, Torchwood." Honestly that's a hell of a mood.
