i think that my favorite thing when it comes to katniss and peeta is that although most of the time it is too difficult and too demanding for them to see the true value and beauty in themselves, they really see it in each other.

there is always an active discussion about which romantic trope is the best and, of course, every single one has reasons for being interesting and good and different things will work for different people, but for me, the moment i see two characters who not only truly love each other but, most importantly, genuinely like each other will always be my favorite.

it may seem too simple, but the fact that two children, two hungry and starved children, left such a big mark on one another, became an inseparable part of one another, all while living in a world where simply just being kind is a great rarity and the greatest luxury, where an act of love is an act of defiance, is so incredibly special.

the fact that they both saw the effect the other one could have when they couldn't recognize that part in themselves is just - i can't even put into words how big of an impact their love story had on who i became as a person. maybe it sounds a little silly, but it is true.

i definitely imagine that while growing back together they would have some sort of revelation where they would both go - well maybe i just need to try to look at myself through your eyes. maybe i will learn how to be kind to myself through you.

does anyone know what Foxface’s real name was? wikia says it was finch but i dont remember that in the books?
