In reading through my (newly acquired) Redwall Graphic Novel, I came across this:

I've never heard talk of stained glass portraits before, but I love the concept. This is my call for art of your version of this, I'd love to see it!

Anyway, I love your characters so much! They have so much personality! Seriously, their stories sound so fun. Also, I love your art style, it feels like I could speak to these guys :D

these are loosey-goosey sketches of some of mine, which I never polish bc I am feverishly creating more woodland animals as we speak. We got Thistle the squirrel, who left Southsward to get a rat girlfriend, Damasc Gravedigger the disgraced knight from Moledeep, and Baum Sweetbrush the bosun aboard the Golden Cockle who is completely useless but very handsome. 

I keep meaning to draw the rest !!! Hawthorne and Hoarfrost, two butch wolverines who take in my nasty wandering badger, Ragwort the aforementioned rat girlfriend, Boss Goldeye the fox who ran the slave-built fort that Maumeruz escaped from, the captain of the Golden Cockle who I don’t have a name for tbh but I can see her so clearly in my mind’s eye!!! belly like a beer barrel, curled and braided fur, smokes three cigars at a time, ye olde ink on her bare paws!!! 

My turn! I won't tag anyone because this happened three months ago, but hey, I'll catch up eventually.

Seriously. There's a dramatic plot point every five pages. I'm reading the graphic novel, which condenses it even more. It goes from skullface, to the tapestry, to chikenhound and Methuselah, back to cluny, to the scare with Gingivere, to Asmodeus. And those aren't even the real battle! It feels like a stab in the heart every time I turn my head. In a good way, though, of course.

I’m rereading Redwall and I forgot how good this book is but also how ABSOLUTELY WILD it is.
